Derby's Box Turn
(Sorry its a bit dark.) Derby was trained to do the box turn using a method taught us by Julie Norman, in NC. Here is his beautiful swimmer's turn. Its quick, but perhaps if you look closely you can see he hits the box first, on the angle, with his front paws, then, using his momentum, bends and pushes off the box with his back paws. He loses almost no speed. Now, if only we can add the ball...
