Topic: Events / Calling all Collies (and Collie lovers)!

Just wondering if anyone from MDS will be coming to the Gathering at Sunnybank (in Wayne, NJ) next month?  It's pure Collie Heaven, whether you have collies or just love them.  We always have a great time, and we'd love to meet other MDS'ers.  Everyone is welcome, including dogs of all breeds, and it's free (though Mom always spends WAY too much on the silent auctions!).  The dates this year are Aug 16 &17;  more info can be found at http://www.colliehealth.org/sunnybank08.html .  Hope we'll see some of you there!

Way up in the top right-hand corner of the page, there's a search box.  Just type in "philippines" and hit "return" (I don't see a clickable box in my browser, so hitting "return" does the same thing) and you'll get a bunch of matches.   We've got dogs (and their people) from all over, here!

Topic: Breeds Club / DOBERMAN LOVERS

Right here!  I'm down to one Dobe at the moment (and one mixed-up breed with some Dobe a couple of generations back, according to his DNA test), but I think I still qualify. :-)  I got my first Dobe 20 years ago this month, and haven't been without one since.  Hopefully, I never will be.  I can't imagine life without a Dobe or three...

Great idea!  Another thing I was thinking of...It'd be nice if one of the "gifts" we could buy with the Doggie Dollars was a candle for those who've lost a pet.  There are a few sites with virtual candle ceremonies for Bridge Kids, but it might be nice if we could "light a candle" on the MDS page of those who've passed...?  (I know there's a thread about Doggie Dollars, but that seems geared towards ideas on how to earn them, rather than spend them.  But I'll post this there, too, if y'all think it'd be an appropriate place.)
