I have used hartz! Within a week, my dog loss a lot of hair! The beginning of her tail was bald, her legs were balding, and her hind quarters are especially bald. I have taken her to the vet and they told me she had an allergic reaction to the hartz. BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU USE

Dwain, This is a quote from my above post:

Notice that I said that is what I heard. I do not know the credibility, I only said this is what I heard in response to an answer to why dogs turn. I primarily belive "turning" is due to the way an owner treats an animal. I am writing this because I don't want anyone to take offense to what I said about imbreeding. It was just something I heard, and I did mention that I didn't know if it was true or not, so please don't judge me for that remark.

This is in response to the posts about tieing up dogs. I think it is very important to tie/fence yard/or keep inside. My neighbor has 4 labradors and never ties them up! He does not have a fenced in yard, and leaves them outside all the time, even at night when the owners are not home! I am afraid to let my dogs out because the labs will come right up to mine. I have a labrador and she is a wonderful dog. In fact, I have never met a labrador that wasn't friendly! But my neighbor's labs are awful. They growl at me when I go to check the mail. Unfortunately, I had to threaten my neighbor with animal control after one of his dogs bit my pup. After this, we are now enemies. If he kept his dogs locked up somehow in the first place, we could still be friends.

Whatever the breed of the dog is has nothing to do with attacking. ITS THE OWNER. Rotweilers, Pitts...it doesn't matter!!! I believe all dogs are born kind. The only reason that I can think of to argue against this is imbreeding dogs. Im not saying this is true, this is only what I heard. I believe if a dog is mean, its the owner, not the breed :)
