Topic: Rescues, Shelters And Adoptions / Save a life! Rescue a dog!

We tried to rescue 2 dogs. 1 was a full size dachshund who had seizures but I had a previous doxie who had seizures so that didn't scare me at all. However, this poor lil guy had gran mal seizures and would have every muscle twitch and would literally flip a foot or so off the floor. He needed someone at home full time and I have 2 jobs. So fortunately his foster mom decided to give him a forever home since she is home all day. Then we tried a pomerian called Red but he responded to Bandit to me. Unfortunately he had heart worms and didn't make it thru the treatment. We will keep trying though when I find another match for Max. I think it is just heart-braking when someone has to give up a pet and there is a special place in heaven for all the folks who help rescue pets.

Topic: Health, Diet And Vets / Food Allergies Anyone Else?

Mighty Max has food allergies and can only eat Natural Balance Duck and Potato. Fortunately they have dry, can and even treats dry biscuits so he gets '"treats" too. He tolerated the Venison and Brown Rice but they voluntarily recalled it when the big food recall happened - so he is back to the one flavor choice.... Anyone else limited like that? or have food allergies? MightyMax ATL
