I love this site.  I think it would be good to have some type of search so you can find people and pets who live around your area.  It's nice to make new friends, but it would also be neat to meet or find friends around us.

in response to ontrose69 the "barkless dog" is the basenji.  Another beautiful breed, they are called barkless because they have more of a yodel than a bark.

But Shibas are great too! My aunt breeds them and I love going over to visit with them.

I checked out this website.  Though I personally don't have the money at the time.  But I think I will defintiely check it out again in the future.  Reminds me of that build a bear store, lol.  I've always wanted to do that but it's always full of little kids, I'd feel a bit out of place.  Anyway.  For anyone who reads this, I'd check out this site.  They would definitely make great gifts, I'm half tempted to make myself one :]

The dogs are cute, but the company should try to get more color variety for them.  I think I spotted dog or ones with patches would be adorable also.

My aunt breeds Shibas and she loves them.  I don't personally know much about the breed besides that they are beautiful and all around happy dogs from what can see.  I think this would be a great breed to move on to.  If not keep any other breed in mind, I wouldn't narrow it down until your completely sure.  My pekingese passed away in 2006, and I moved on to a schnauzer...which is a breed I always said I didn't think I cared for. Best of luck! :)

They played the recording on tv that the woman got, it was terrible.  I would cry if I got that. lol

Has anyone heard about the news around PETA recently...I know it was on CNN yesterday.

They put an ad of some sort in the Dog Fancy magazines saying you could call a number to get your puppy a free gift bag.

A woman called and got a recording saying something about your calling for a body bag for the dog you didn't adopt or buy.  Pretty much trying to make people feel bad for only getting the dog they chose.

I thought this was sick, just curious what other opinoins are.

Topic: General / MICHAEL VICK SENTENCE FAIR?: “Animal cruelty”

He deserves a hell of alot more than he is getting for what he did.  I've been watching Dogtown on National Geographic.  It's about an animal sanctuary and they have some of vicks dogs and are trying to turn them back around into regular dogs so they can have a chance at a real home with a family.  Anyone interested should check it out, it's very interesting...i feel bad for those dogs.  Luckily though, twenty some of them rescued from his place have found foster homes atleast for the mean time.  I was glad to hear that.
