My best buddy Ace had a friend named Midnight who was a retired K9.  He was a gentle giant, even with a energetic pup like Ace.  It was hard to imagine Midnight chasing bad guys because of his gentle and patient nature.  He would lay in the yard and let me and Ace (when we were puppies) crawl all over him and tug on his ears.  We'd get the deep growl or swat of the paw if we tugged too hard or used too much teeth.  When he was tired he'd shake us off and walk home with us bouncing alongside to try to entice him to stay and play.  Sounds like Jessy was pretty similar.

You're going to get a very special four-legged greeting at the pearly gates one day!  Until then, thanks again for sharing about your special friend!
