I was running the streets of South Carolina, skinny with lots of mean bugs (my mom calls them "damn ticks") until the dog-catcher took me to a place with lots of other dogs. My mom drove all the way from Virginia to meet ANOTHER DOG! Ha! She took one look at my gorgeous topaz eyes, and I knew she was mine. Now I'm livin' large (literally, 'cause the vet said I need to lose eight pounds ... not gonna happen).

I sleep on the sofa or mom's bed, and occasionally in my bed. I have the run of the place. My mom almost always takes me with her except to some bad place called "work." I especially like to visit my Grammy, who sneaks people food to me under the table, and go to the beach.

I have lots of friends in my neighborhood, and I get to go to a dog park! I like to run as fast as I can toward another dog, then go around him at the last second. Mom calls it a "fly-by." I bark the entire time I'm there. Mom keeps saying "no bark," but how can I keep quiet when I'm having so much fun?
