Black Harley Sage VonBaron
Harley was adopted by his new Mom early in life. He kept in contact with his family through play dates and a short time lived with his brother, Baron. In 1999, he started to see more of his brother, Bruno and once their parents married Harley moved in with Bruno and have enjoyed each others company since. Harley enjoyed walks, rides in the pick-up and play dates with his brother, Bruno. Harley also enjoyed the couple times that he got to visit his Uncle Rufus, his mother‘s brother. He liked to get and give hugs and enjoyed sharing a warm sunny patch to nap in with his kitty friend, Jake.
Harley is survived by his adopted parents, Chuck and Amy, his brother, Bruno, great-uncle, Samson and his kitty friend, Jake. He was preceded in death by his birth parents, Sage & Holly, by a brother, Baron and by his uncle, Rufus.
Funeral was the evening of April 16, 2008. No burial, body will be cremated.

Bruno and Harley are littermates. Bruno is a little smaller than Harley at barely 100lbs. but he has lots of brains and very smart. Bruno had a bad experience with a cat when he was a puppy and wants to chase them but he minds my husband and stops. Bruno's favorite toy is a basketball. Every morning, snow, rain, or sun, he is up "farming" with his ball. He holds it with his front legs, leaning on it, he drags it backwards and then shoots it through his back legs. If he gets excited then he goes "farming" again. He has always slept with his nose out the flap of his dog house. He also likes to "herd" his people. he leans on your legs until you move to the spot where he wants you, then you have to scratch him. Some of the antics that Bruno does are so funny. He is always making us laugh.

Oh boy, I did it now. I put a 'vroom vroom' on Astrid's page, cause I thought it was funny, well mama didn't!
AND I used the word 'crap' in a bark...
AND I kept barking at everything outside (I'm two...I'm learning to guard for heaven's sake)
AND mama gots made, cause she kept telling me 'enough' and then I would listen, and when she walked away I found something else to bark at.
AND I thought it was really funny, 'ask to go out, bark, be quiet when mama said 'enough', wait til she went inside, then bark again, and watch her tap on the picture window and give me this funny screwed up face'...
I was just having fun, cause I was bored...
AND now she is all serious,
AND telling me 'THAT'S ENOUGH YOUNG MAN'!
So now I am in real trouble...but don't tell her I am on the 'puter...

Hey guys…we’re back!!! Mommy is finally done with VBS and we’re so glad. We didn't get anymore snacks...mom said there wasn't anything else we could have...haarruummmpphhh...she doesn't know us as well as she thinks she does. We know that was she did was important and special but she was gone a lot and Daddy was working and we missed them. Now they’re both home! We missed all of our furends sooooo much. We hope we didn’t miss anyone’s Yappy Barkday and we tried to check the blogs everyday. I (Chi) am going with mommy and daddy to visit our new baby boy cousin Ethan Wednesday. Sable is going to stay with one of her berry bestest human friends. She doesn’t travel so well and it’s only going to be an overnight trip so mommy didn’t want to stress her out. She will be so spoiled when we get home…’Lissa always spoils her! Sable’s not really happy right now…she got a SHORT haircut and a bath today so she’s hiding under the bed. But I will get to see baby Ethan first and I will report back about this non-furry two-legged little creature when I get back. We hope you have a BARK-A-RIFFIC week. Gotta go…more barks and huggies and kissies to leave our furends.

Happy Indepawdence Day. We is sneeky on da puter cuz mommy is buzy fur a few minets. Oh no I (Sable) donut fink Iz weady fur today! Dem poppers scarez me weelly bad turribl...I donut eben likez fur to go to da out to go potty. Mommy or Daddy habs to draggded me to da out. So I fink I will jus be staying behind de couch or under de bed until all dem poppers stop. But here dem poppers jus keep a goin anna goin a week before and about a week afer. Dey last FUREVER! OOOOHHHHH MMMEEEEE what am I going to do? Mebbe I iz gonna move to where da poppers donut be allowed.
Happy Furth Ebbybody, I (Chi) donut care less bout dem ol' poppers. I bark alot ifn dey are weelly loud. But udder dan dat I will jus play wif my bo-bos and take da naps in dad's chair.
