Maggie & family ~  DO NOT (yes, I am shouting!!!) give up hope! Our friend, Hannah was not expected to make it over the weekend after a mass cell tumor was found. Her spleen and half her livere were removed. She is home and still kicking (2 wk later)! Please email our mom all the details, so she can run it by our holistic vet; include what food/treats you get ~ avoid grains, they feed cancer. Look into a raw diet, this can be very beneficial to cancer patients (IF you even have it).  Best wishes to you & yours, we will get THRU this, together!!! (((hugs))) the AusSiebelts

Dear sweet Maggie Magoodle. Mama's eyes are leaking as she writes his for me. We lost Max a couple of years ago, I never knew him, but mama always tells us pups (when we cuddle with her) the 'story of how we came to be', meaning what led up to the day they found us and took us home, and our first days home. Maxie was a rescue, and was so poorly treated, and responded to the love we gave him. He was between 12-14 and in lots of pain. He was on medication, but mama said the day came that they had to put aside their selfishness to have Max around and do the right thing for him when he no longer could be a happy dog. So he was pampered and loved til they just knew he wasn't a dog, but something they just wanted around cause they couldn't bear the thought of being without him. It was a sad day, and mama and daddy still cry whenever they see his sweet picture, but he was in their arms when he went to the Rainbow Bridge. They miss him, but they feel good that they did what was best for him til the end. It was something that no one else had done when he was alone in the world before he came to be. He came to be:

loved

cared for

happy

healthy

and a joy.

You all are in our prayers. This is a very hard time we realize, and the thought of losing her is unbearable.

We never get over the pain of losing our sweet furchildren, but time heals and the tears are less and the joyful memories are more, but we never forget, and that's as it should be.

I am so sorry to hear your news! I have a 13 yr old Boxer in the same situation. She was abused for years, I only got her a month ago. So forgiving are our fur babies!  Our prayers to you Maggie.
