I was abandoned as a puppy and given up for adoption when I was 6. I was adopted again for 1 year before being put up for adption again. One day, Daddy Frank and Daddy Bill found me at the Animal Refuge League in Westbrook, Maine. I have been with them ever since. I live with my best friend, Miss Molly-Mae, a Russian Blue Kitty. I also live with two Cockatiels, Tippi and DIngo, and a Maine Coon cat, Axl (who does not like dogs.) Another friend, Bonnie, is a Sheltie who lives with Auntie Nackie downstairs.  We take walks together. Then there is Sassie, Bonnie's kitty, who likes me too!

In 2002 I became a therapy dog.  I get to go to work with Daddy Bill a couple days a week. I am 105 in dog years, so I am what is called "semi-retired." I love to work with children and babies, especially the ones that are hurt by mean people. I also work with adults sometimes. When Daddy puts my therapy dog collar on, I run to the car as fast as I can and my ears flap in the breeze when I run.

When my buddy, Guido, died, I became the senior dog in the Barter family. I like to visit with Guido's sister, Katie, at Mike and Ann's house. We get on the furniture together. Mike and Ann have a big yard with lot of new places to poop. I also visit Judi, Jeff, and Whitney. They have a lot of dogs and cats!

I go to the vet a lot because I am diabetic and have something called Cushing's disease. I also have cataracts and I don't hear so good any more. But I am a happy dog and my dads take care of me. I get a shot every time I eat (ouch!). I am not alone very often.

I go to the cottage with my dads and sometimes I go swimming. I also hike in the woods and visit the other cottages to see if they have leftovers to donate.
