Rescue
Rescue has been very busy lately. We have been getting a lot of owner-turn-ins. It's sad that when people move, that they can't or more likely won't take their pets with them. We just keep opening our doors to take in the negleted, the scared, the confused babies that need new homes. At this point, we just think to ourselves "what's one more?" One more to love, one more to shower attention on and always one more to break our hearts...
Miss Breeze
I was able to get my splint off last month. I am so glad that my leg is all better, now mom doesn't have to keep such a close eye on everything I do. My leg has healed so well that mom lets me run and play ball with my brother and sisters again.
Nasty Weather
Overnight we got an ice storm, but it sure was pretty when we got outside this morning. Mom won't let us run around too much, she's too afraid one of us will break a leg like Breeze. She sure worries a lot!sheltie rescue
We have been fostering for a local sheltie rescue for the past couple of years. We have had many shelties come stay with us for one reason or another and most have been very rewarding. I always learn something new with each passing guest. Until recently we have found homes for each sheltie that crossed our path. Breeze was supposed to only stay here until she found her forever home, little did we realize that her home would be with us. That makes us foster failures! I wouldn't have it any other way. This past week she and her big sister Roxie were playing out in the snow when she broke her leg. As you can see in her picture it is now splinted but the outcome is expected to be good.
