oh.  ok.

last night mom went to go get gas.  she drove to 3 chevron stations & also called a 4th one and NONE of them had the gas she needed to put in her car!  couldn't believe it!  ended up having to go to shell & us her debit card instead of her chevron card.  she likes using the gas card better b/c it's just easier & then she just pays balance @ end of month.

interesting to see how long it takes to get things back to normal.  we thought it was goin pretty good but guess not.  these storms have really caused ALOT of damage & problems.  especially Ike!  gggrrrr!

just wanted to give my pals an update from hurricane Ike.  we STILL don't have power @ our house but we are ok otherwise.  no damage to our house, just outside stuff but nothing major.  just sucks not having power & they say our area won't get power back until "sometime" NEXT WEEK!!!  that really blows!  i can't get on the puter & bark @ my pals.  we are SOOOO bored & mom is SUPER tired.  she hasn't slept much since LAST Wednesday!

we might end up staying w/friends that live close by b/c we don't want to go to grandma's b/c she lives on other side of town & mom/dad don't want to waste gas driving everywhere since gas is in shortage in this area right now b/c alot of the stations still don't have power.  right after the hurricane we had a little over 3 millions homes w/out power & right now we have around 2.5 million homes STILL w/out power.  gggrrrr!

we are thankful that nothing bad happened to us or anyone we know but it's still hard dealing w/no power, no hot water, not being able to cook food, etc.  if we don't go stay w/friends we might get a generator but we'll see.  there are no hotels available around here right now so that's not an option.  mom said she's about to tell dad that we just need to take our vacation right now & get the heck outta here for a while!  BOL!!!

anyway....won't be able to get on much for a while till things settle down & get back to normal.

hows things goin in your neck of the woods?  we're about to get hit by hurricane Ike!!!  yikes!!  mom & daddy are starting to prepare our house for us to be safe.  she said we might have to camp out in the big closet under the stairs tonight!

galveston will get the worst of it & all the towns along the bay but here in houston we will just get alot of rain & strong winds.  they are predicting prob 100mph winds here in houston!!  mom & dad hope the roof holds up.  it doesn't flood where we are so we think we're pretty safe there they are just worried about the wind damage.  it's gonna suck having to be holed up in the closet w/my sister - the cat!

say some doggie prayers for us that everything stays intact!
