My name is Lucky.  I got my name because I was a street dog.  I was put out on the street to fend for myself after my old guardian no longer wanted me.  I had a litter of puppies with a little mixed female dog.  My puppies were kept but we got the boot.  We lived on the street for several weeks trying to find out own water, food and shelter.  Many people mistreated us, and we almost got hit by several cars.  One day my female companion was missing and I was all alone.  A couple who was visiting their family saw me several times on the street and asked about me.  They came back one day and took me with them.  I was taken to their local animal shelter, cleaned up and had my pictures taken.  I was later listed on the shelter's website where I was available for adoption.  The couple decided to foster me at their house until I was permanantly adopted.  It only took 5 days for them to fall in love with me.  They then contacted the shelter and permanantly adopted me.  I have finally found my forever home.  I am very happy here.  I have 3 dog sisters.  We play and go for walks together every day.  I have my own toys, bed, blankets and I'm guarantedd food and fresh water.  I never knew life could be so good.  They call me Lucky because they say I truly am "lucky" to have a second chance.
