Princes Elvis and Henry, here is your next two-part tip and assignment:

Tip 8a: Princes have a good sense of humor and enjoy being amused. Find a blog that amuses you, and leave a bark on that blog saying what you enjoyed about it.

Tip 8b: Princes also enjoy being amusing. At home, do something that amuses one of your humans. Leave a bark on your page saying what you did and how your human reacted.

Princes Elvis and Henry,

Tips and assignments are now only being handed out weekly. Therefore, there will be a two-part tip/assignment each week. The first part will be used on MDS, to demonstrate princely behavior to others. The second part will be used at home, to help you be treated like princes by your humans.

Tip # 7a: Princes help bring others together. You assignment is to find at least two MDS members who have something in common. Choose members that you know, but who don’t know each other. Introduce them to each other, tell both what they have in common, and explain to both that this is why you are introducing them to each other. This will require some "hunting" but the hunt should be fun (we canines enjoy a good hunt, don’t we?).

Tip 7b: Princes have regal posture, conveying the impression that they deserve royal treatment. Your assignment is to practice sitting in front of your human with your butt firmly on the floor, your front feet evenly spaced in front of you, and your head high. If you want to see an example, check out Zack’s photo in his tuxedo. Granted, his clothes add to his regal appearance, but even without the tuxedo his posture says it all.

As always, please leave us a bark when you are finished with each assignment. If you can, include a photo of you looking regal. We also enjoy hearing what results you got when you practiced your princely behavior.

Good morning Divas et al...... ***giggles*** I know, I'm a funny one this morning! Anyways, in the interest of getting ready for the Barkus Parade and all the other upcoming celebrations, I'm going to forego the Diva lesson this morning. Instead, I'm going to attempt to give detailed explanations of what I've planned and encourage you to have fun with these ideas and even add some of your own. I know, I know. You are thinkin' "that pup must have OCD or somethin'" (OCD - Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) with the way she keeps barking to us about Mawdi Dawg! Well, I don't but my mom does....***silly hysterical laughter***

1) Barkus Parade - tomorrow (Friday) morning, I'll start a blog called Barkus Parade. I'm hoping everyone will post wild and crazy Mawdi Dawg pictures, or any kind for that matter, in it.

2) Bead Throwing - bead throwing will start en mass (yep, bark in French as well as Latin!) tomorrow (Friday), also. Some revelers got an early start so really, just go for it! Throw those beads any time you want!

3) Pass The Puppy contest - My mom has tried to come up with ways we can pick a King and Queen for next Tuesday's Mawdi Dawg dance. Kind of similiar to the King's Cake idea, she came up with pass the puppy. The girls will get a puppy and the boys will get a different puppy to pass. We'll pass the puppy all around and the girl with the puppy and boy with the puppy when I bark STOP, will be the King and Queen for the dance! This isn't an exact science so we'll just do the best we can on this. We know that there will be some that don't/won't/can't pass the puppy, so maybe on your page you can just do a post that says 'PASS' so the person passing the puppy knows you don't want to. ***pant pant pant*** This was a long explanation, I know. The King and Queen's pictures will be posted wearing their crowns on the dance hall page the night of the dance. That would be my (Astrid's) page.

Finally, 4) The big Mawdi Dawg Dance/Pawtie on Tuesday, Feb. 5th. It'll start in the morning and last all day into the evening hours. That gives everyone who would like to participate a chance. So come one, come all, bark often, bark LOUD and.....
