Thank you all...

For those that took the time to send their prayers and sentiments for my Amelia, I cannot express how much comfort I got from it all, and would be humbled if y’all would accept my sincere thanks.

The loss of a pet is bad enough but y’all went above and beyond.

For that, thank you!

Know that Amelia will always be with me, literally. For those that don’t know my plans, it’s simple. Papers are already signed to have her cremated privately, as opposed to one big pile of pets, and her ashes returned to me. From there, when time permits, we will travel to N.Carolina (from Illinois) and use those ashes to tattoo her portrait on my left thigh. Whatever is left will hold a place of honor wherever I am.

To those with ailing or lost pets, know that my prayers are with you too.

My Amelia died today (5 Apr 08) at 10:45 a.m. central in my arms. Thanks to all for your prayers and support.

Bye Y'all

Well, we may be looking at  the final days for Amelia. She hasn’t eaten anything since last Monday or Tuesday and is hardly drinking. The vet couldn’t find anything this past Wednesday when I took her in. All she does is lay around staring up at who knows what. Although she still gets up to go out, her eyes are glassy and I sense that she’s not herself.

I’m sure this is gonna hit me like a ton of bricks, being together for the past 12 years like we’ve been.

If you’re so inclined, your prayers for us both would sure help.
