My Blog Entry
Wheelies!!!
Good evening all, just dying to tell you about my latest adventure. Mum was around the house today and saw me with my best "I'm bored!" expression on my face, so she decided to take me out for a drive in the car! Things felt a bit weird when she was coaxing me into the seat as I didn't know what was coming next, but I thought what the hell, sure I'm fed up anyway - then she got into the car herself and suddenly there were a few funny noises and we started moving...... "Hmmmm, this doesn't seem right somehow" me thinks, "I'm going forward but my legs aren't in motion, this seat is nice & comfy though and if I sit upright I can see stuff!"
So on we go nice and slowly for a few minutes or so with Mum babbling onto me about how good I was for staying in the seat, then suddenly I got a horrible feeling - oh no I'm gonna get sick in Mum's lovely clean fresh car, she's gonna hate me. Luckily she noticed I was getting restless so she pulled over and opened the windows a little and I started to feel better straight away, thankfully my nausea passed once my lungs had some fresh country air in them. She even opened the sunroof so I could watch the little birdies fly overhead.
We continued on and with Mum's soothing voice and reassuring talk I began to relax and enjoy being chauffeured around the roads. When she saw how well I was behaving Mum said how this could open up new opportunities for me (words "forest parks & beaches" sounded interesting!), ooh I am already having doggie daydreams of me chasing a ball with Mum and Dad at the seaside. Of course this also equates to NEW SMELLS & SIGHTS, ah yeah bring it on!!!
Mum even stopped off at a friend's for a short while and during her stay I decided to try it in the driving seat myself but it looked a tad complicated (all those controls and switches really are too small for my large paws) so I don't think I'll be applying for a learner permit just yet. I figured the best thing was to lie down and wait instead, so while trying to get a comfortable position I tooted the horn (OOPS!) and that big round thing out front kept bumping into my head (OUCH)! Although Mum was so pleased when she returned and found me keeping her seat warm, so I earned a few extra bonus points there.
I'd love to hear other's experiences and tips on this car biz.......Sally

I love to ride in the car. My Mommy takes me everywhere, but cept when she has to go and would have to leave me in the car for a long time, then I have to stay home, but most of the time when I go, I get to go into the store with her. She rolls my window down and I hang my head out and try to catch bugs in my teeth. Mommy always tells me I'm a nut case... but it's so much fun. Sometimes I jump into the front seat, but mostly I stay in the back...and when Mommy gets into a lot of traffic, she makes me sit still and I can't stand up in between the seats.. she says she can't see, which I don't understand because there are windows all around the car. Mommy says it's her car, but I think it's mine... I've left my puppy slobers all over the windows.. he he
