Hello! Im Emily, a APBT and Rottweiler mix (we think). Im a special dog in many ways. First, I wag my tail and it hits the wall and I dont notice. Second, I dont like thunderstorms or fireworks. Third, I like to sit on people. Lastly, I sing seriously I SING... like a bird. I was born in FL, abandoned and rescued from animal control before they could take me away. I was recently transplanted from Jacksonville FL to Jacksonville NC but I liked FL better. I like to play especially with other dogs. I have the worlds shortest attention span unless you have food then Im in your face or if you go to the bathroom, I have to follow to make sure your safe. I like to go swimming but cant find a lake they let dogs in here in NC. I love bath time (NOT) and always try and hide when I hear the tub running. I don't really care for pointless games like fetch, its my ball I don't feel like chasing it. I also don't like male dogs that try to romance me... my teeth come out. I do enjoy going running with mom and car rides that end in me going somewhere other than the vet. Anyway thats the highlights of me Emily anything else you want to know just bark at me and Ill tell you.

Cortana is a little ham/teddy bear. She has recently discovered the joys of toilet paper and the bathroom rug, both get chewed on if the bathroom door gets left open. She has also discovered the joys of swimming and enjoys being wet, to the point where she tries to join me in the shower... usually right when Ive got the most soap on my face. Life with her is never dull though she keeps us entertained. Her and Em have worked out kind of a strange relationship and during the day its play play eat and play some more then at night they curl up together on one dog bed. We are working out some issues mainly having to do with keeping all four paws on the ground. So far its been interesting/challenging keeping up with her, she invents a new bad habit every day I think. But she's mostly a good girl :)

GUILTY! GUILTY! GUILTY!
As most of you have probably heard, Mr. Ray Stanfill has been found guilty in the death of Gage! He will be sentenced in September. We are so happy for the Burke family. Although nothing will bring their beloved Gage back, his death was not in vain. They are in the process of setting up a foundation to help others in the same situation and to help stop animal cruelty and abuse. On behalf of Shana & Britt, I would like to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. They have been absolutely amazed by all the love and support from around the world.
