I am very friendly, playful, outgoing, and quite willing to learn the "house rules". I will ask to go out when I need to. I love attention and gives lots of love back. My foster mom says I'm the best! I guess i look a little funny right now because my Doctor says i have something called Demodex. I bet i'll be beautiful when all my hair grows back! ...Don't worry, i'm not contagious, and am getting better every day! I was rescued by a very nice man, who i owe my life to! He took me from a place that obviously didn't take very good care of me. I am now up-to-date on my shots and FINALLY spayed!

I am a special boy and need a very quiet home that can spend time letting me get used to them. Once i warm up, i am a love! Quick movments make me nervous, so please, no kids!! They are just too much for me!! My trainer says i'm lacking "self-confidence," whatever that means. I need someone who can respect my space when i need it, and take me for long walks to prove to me that the world isn't really such a scarey place!

Houston is a great little guy!! He was an unclaimed stray, so we are unaware of his history. When he first came to the pound, he was very, very nervous. He didn't really "click" with anyone. Unfortunately, we don't have a shelter facility, so we house some of the dogs that don't have foster homes at a dog training facility when they are done with their time at the pound. It took him about 2 days to come out of his shell, but know he loves all the volunteers that take care of him!

He is quite the little character and has a lot of personality!

It is very important that you are also aware of his "quirks." Houston can become possessive of a person if he is in their arms, and a stranger wants to pet him. We are working on this with him, and he is improving, but like i said, it is very important that his adoptive family understands this, and continues to work with him on it.

He attends Daycare and, so far, he gets along great with dogs big and small! He does not have any possessive issues over toys, food, bones, or water if a person wants to remove the item from him. He is completely crate trained, and does not have accidents or bark while he is in there.
Please, no kids!! They are just too much for me!!
