Connor is the dog everybody wishes they had!! He's handsome as can be, quiet, confident and fun-loving. He's the kid brother that steals toys from all his big sisters and then plays "keep away." It's a game he has perfected. He's about the smartest dog we've ever known. He hates being kissed, but we can't help ourselves. Plus the top of his head smells like brown sugar -- honestly!! He's got long gangly legs, a goofy sounding bark, a look in his eyes that spells mischief, and a heart full of love. He's our boy!

Not the shinest apple in the barrel, but loyal to a fault. True to her nature, she tries to herd everything around her in as grumpy a manner as possible. She's always grumping at the other dogs, but Odie was the second dog in the household and has never gotten over the fact that she now has to share the house with all these other dogs. She has it in her head she's the Alpha and it just ain't so! Odie is the proverbial "ugly duckling" who just wants to be the "pretty girl". A pat on the head means more to her than all the stars in the sky and she repays with her loyalty.  When we first adopted her from the shelter, she was hyper and a perfect match for my hyper son, but now in her older years, she's slowing down and is content to just sit on the couch, lick the carpet, or grump.

We came across Jake on Craigs List as a free Rottweiler. The woman that we got him from had rescued him from a couple that had taken him 70 miles out into the desert and dumped him off. Jake made his way back to them though. They gave him to the woman we got him from. He has had a hard start to life, but is now enjoying life to the fullest!  He is a total Daddy's Boy and demands my attention whenever he thinks he can get away with it. He is a huge tease! He loves to tease the cat and anyone else he thinks he can get away with.  He doesn't care much for Aussie Cattle Dogs, Aussie Shepherds or similar breeds though. He had one attack him at the dog park, even though he out weighed it by about 30lbs. That dog ended up bitting me instead of Jake.

Jake loves to spend his time sleeping or getting his tummy rubbed. He loves to go for car rides and stick his head out the window with tongue hanging out and ears flappin' in the wind!

Deja came to us via the Yavapai Humane Society in Prescott, AZ. She was dropped off by the parents of her owner. He is in the hospital and will be until January 2009. They could not take care of her as they are older. They were very upset that they couldn't find anyone to do a long term fostering. Once I heard about it, I couldn't help but bring her home and give her a loving home while she waits for her owner to come home. She is a very sweet girl and follows us around like a shadow. She loves nothing better than to have her tummy rubbed or to climb into a lap to be cuddled and stroked.
