My big sister- the GSD in my pics- moved all the way across country and left her squirrel pals in North Carolina. Mom and Dad felt she needed a friend and so they called about an ad in the base newspaper that led them to me. Thanks to the irresponsible people who mated my parents, I had a lot of health problems. Mom and Dad felt so bad they considered going back and getting one of my litter mates just to make sure they got proper treatment from a vet. I am doing much better. I just hope that the others are getting the same love and care I am, whereever they are.
My bark is really loud and deep and sometimes the people that walk by our house think I am mean, but I'm just protecting my family. I'm a big ball of love. Mom says I give really sweet Kade kisses if you ask for them. I don't like being away from my family and if Dad goes to the bathroom and closes the door, I will bump it until he lets me in.
Apparently I look like I have alot to say because Mom is always talking to me. She says that I am intent and give everyone my undivided attention. She loves my big brown eyes.

I am a purebred three year old GSD with very little German bloodlines. My mother's pedigree is full of white german shepherds. Mom says I remind her alot of the white GSD she had when she was a kid. I get alot of compliments on my coloring whenever we go somewhere. Unfortunately, the couple who bought me from the breeder didn't have the time or knowledge to train me so they gave me to someone else. I got passed around until the first owners threatened to take me to the pound. Mom said she walked by and over heard the conversation and promised she'd come pick me up that night. So, on my first birthday after a year of nobody wanting me, I found my home.
I loved to chase the squirrels in our backyard in North Carolina but out here in the desert, I don't see any. I pass the time running the fence line with the neighbor's dog. I miss grass!
My little sister, the Doberman, she's a pain in the hiney, but I love her. She takes my toys, tries to sneak my treats, sticks her head in my food, and she has taken to sitting on my head. I miss her very much whenever she has to leave to go to the vet though. She's like the pup I never had.
I am very loyal to my family. I hate it when Dad chases the kids (my two legged puppies) or makes aggressive playful moves towards Mom. I don't like to be in the house if my two legged puppies are outside.

Rocky here.
These are pictures of the parade we went to on Sunday. It's the Mexican Independence Day Parade. I may not be like my family's previous Mexican dogs but this is my new adopted second home. I love Spanish because it's sound so romantique. There were lots of horses! I love horses. My family calls me a mini horse because they say I kind of look like one. This was my second parade and Olivia's first. I was not scared of nothing and everybody loved us. We were practically the only dogs and we even got a big truck that blew a horn just in our honor! Boy, it was fun. I behaved like a great gentleman walking beside mom. My leader carried Olivia in a bag because otherwise people would have not see her and would have stepped on her! She was pretty behaved herself even though it was all knew to her. We made some human kid friends and everyone smiled in our presence. Boy, we can't wait until next year.
By the end of the day, my leader and us were to walk home because the celebration afterwards was tiring for us dogs. With the permission of my leader, I was to walk one step ahead and be her eyes and ears. I stayed focused and very calm with ears back and tail submissively. Olivia was to warn us of any bad energy on the way. My leader had to carry her food because she got hungry! I say we did pretty well. I know my way home like a map in my head. Afterwards, we were ready to eat ourselves.

Hey Kade Cat...hear you are under the weather. I am sooo sorry to hear that. Keep us posted in a blog so we know what's going on with you. Let's hope you just ate something yuckkie, and will be better soon. Can't have any of the little 'nubster' Dobie pups getting sick, can we? Can you tell next to Danes, mama loves them little nubsters.
