Laycee was the runt of the litter. Turned out she was the smartest too. She is a very outgoing dog with alot of energy. She loves to snuggle and gets more kisses than gives. Although she has some stubborn qualities of the Cocker she was very easy to teach. She knows who certain people are when you ask her and she knows how to give high five. She is very mindful of strangers but once you have been visiting for awhile she will not hesitate to bring you her rope for a game of tug of war. Don't let her size fool you she is tuff as nails and she is indeed the alpha dog.

I'm SO sorry to hear about Dakota. I just came across the firedog picture and came by to say hello and saw your blog. Our thoughts are with you, there's just never enough that a person can say to show how sorry one is. The picture caught my attention because Olie's Daddy is a firefighter, and Olie always says he wants to be a firedog. His face looks a lot like Dakota. Do you have a firefighter in the family? Anyway, I am so sorry to hear your news, and I hope that Laycee and Olie can be friends! Best wishes.

Thanks for your bark. Sorry we didn't answer sooner, but our mommy hasn't been feeling well. Hmmm baby you say? (Our mommy sends congratulations to your mommy). Anyway, we sometimes have people with babies as house guests, and they are pretty strange. At first they don't do much - you can sniff'em as much as you want, but you do have to be gentle. Older ones move around funny, kind of like a dog. They smell good though and they laugh a lot. The only real downsides are that they require a lot of attention and they make lots of noise. But we have confidence that it will all work out for you - after all, it's one more human to love you and you get to train this one yourself. Enjoy the time between now and August cause things are sure gong to change!

When will your new house be ready? The house we live in was built by our parents too, and we also love having a yard to play in. Moving is strange though - especially when you see them packing up all there stuff (and your stuff too). It's all worth it though.
