Sandy was bought from a local pet shop when he was just a pup, 5 or 6 weeks old. He was a mother's day gift for my Mum.

He was boss from the word go. Maxie, our foxi x (RIP buddy) walked over to him, this little fluff ball, on the first night wagging. Sandy looked up out of his bed and growled. From there on, Sandy was the dominate one. Maxie never minded though. They grew very soon to be the best of friends :)

When we first got Sandy, he could hardly walk. He was like a little crab trying to chase a ball. He didn't know how to eat on his own, or drink. We had to teach him. In other words, he was sold to the pet shop to young... and not feed well. His front paws and legs and bowed inward, probably from a calcium deficiency.

We've had him for seven years now and he's been a great dog. He's strangly timid, afriad for no reason. Yet very loving. His brother Max (Diddles) passed away a few months ago... Sandy still thinks he will come home, I think. Since then though, we've got a new dog named Rusty, to help us all. Sandy ran away from Rusty the first two months, and has just, in the last two, started to sit next to him outside and tolerate him somewhat. Sandy still growls alot. However, he has started to wag at Rusty, roll over on his back, and leg Rusty hug him. It's a start :)

Rusty is a 4month old Corgi X. With what, we are not sure. Maybe some sort of hound, by his howling.

He was sold to us by a local pet shop as a Chihuahua x Foxi... He isn't. He's corgy. No doubt about it. All the traits are there. Herding your feet, the interesting barks and cries, the laying on his back to sleep and play, the smart observance. He doesn't run after birds or bugs or anything that interests him. He sits there, watches it and how it moves, then walks up slowly, sits, watches some more, then chases it, not to catch, but to see what it does.

This little guy is a handful. Up early every morning, ready to play. His head is too big for his body, his legs too short, his tail too long... he's very cute! :) Big smarts eyes, giant feet which gallop throughout the house all day and night, and a rinkled forehead.

He's not the quiet dog we wanted... but we love him none the less. He's loyal and loving, and very smart. He's going to grow up to be an awesome little dog.
