I fell off a deck when I was 4 months old and broke one of my legs. My owners at that time couldn't afford any vet bills (not even an x-ray) so they signed me over to the veterinary hospital and that's where my mom fell in love with me (she's a vet tech there). My name was Kalani at the time, but Mom thought that was kinda girly and changed it to Ciaran (that's Gaelic and it's pronounced Keer-in). As for my leg, I was lucky and didn't even have to have surgery. I just had to wear a splint for 6 weeks.
