sassy went to heaven today
hi everyone,
it has been awhile since i have been on but i wanted to let everyone know Sassy passed away today. She had gotten to the point she couldn't even get up to go to the bathroom. we put her down so she wouldn't be in pain anymore. This is the hardest thing i have ever had to do. She was a wonderful friend. She will be sadly missed. I am going to put a video on my profile as a tribute to Sassy. I have cried so many tears today and just when i think there are no more to cry i cry some more. i don't know when the hurt and pain will go away but i hope soon. i don't want to cry i just want to remember her the way she was but right now all i feel is sad. i try to remember all the good times but then cry because i know there will be no more. i know she is no longer suffering and that gives me some comfort. i will miss her and remember her always.
Sadies new look
Well I am back from the groomers and feel much better. They gave me 2 baths with sensative skin shampoo and shaved me. I look a little different but my mom still thinks I am cute. My mom put some pictures in my album of my new look. What do you think? Still pretty cute huh? Well my mom will keep you updated with my progress. It's time for dinner now.

I just added my dog sassy to my page. she lives with my mom but we have had her since i was 12 so i still consider her mine. She is getting older now and we are really worried about her. she is deaf and doesn't do much anymore. she has ear infections all the time that medicine just doesn't seem to help anymore. we think she has cancer. My mom really doesn't know what to do. She is not ready to put her down because she still eats and goes outside to go potty. She even played with the stuffed animal i bought her the other day. you can tell she is getting tired. she really just sleeps all day. The only time she is really up is if she sees someone eating. she loves to beg. I am not ready to let her go either. she has been my sister for 14 years. I don't want to say goodbye. Please keep her in your thoughts. I love her very much.
Hartz hurt my Sadie
Well a couple of weeks ago I put hartz flee and tick drops on my dog. Little did I know it is a horrible medication. They sell it over the counter and any pet store so I thought it would be fine. After talking to several vets I found out it is one of the worst flee and tick medicine you can buy. It actually gets into your dogs bloodstream unlike frontline which just stays on the skin. Well after applying it she started itching unctrollably. Also what i thought was shedding was actually hair loss. After about 3-4 days of itching and hairloss and numerous phone calls to the vet I decided i just needed to bring her in. After going in they told me it was the Hartz and she had lost a majority of her top coat. She also had to get cortizone shots to ease the itching. The itching has gotten better but the hairloss is still bad. Finally the vet said the only way to make it better is to get her shaved. You are not supposed to shave a German Shepard but since she has lost so much they thought it would make her more comfortable. She has her appointment on Friday. I hope it helps. I have to change her water at least 5 times a day just to make sure she isn't drinking her hair. i vaccum 3 times a day and brush her daily but it just keeps falling out. i really can't figure out where it is coming from anymore. i clean up so much hair i can't believe she has any left. I just hope she will feel better friday.
When i adopted her she was on Purina at the shelter so they told me to get that. Now I am told that is not such a great food so i started her on Iams Lamb and Rice.
