Smokey Joe brought alot of joy to our home and unfortunately we had to let him go! He had some health issues later on in his life, which were under control, however the age was his determining factor. He let go of life due to Advanced Kidney Failure and while we were hoping he would go peacefully in his sleep, he was not showing any distress or pain, but after 2 days we could not let him go like that. We loaded him up in our vehicle and the vets office was just a short distance from our home. Torn between letting him go naturally or with some assistance, a decision no one likes to make, but apparently he knew we didn't want to make that decision. He passed away on my husbands lap in the back seat, a mere 5 minutes after loading him into the truck.
Always know that you are connected on a spiritual level with your animals. They know how you feel, at ALL times.
We will miss you forever, but you will always be in our hearts. We shall see you soon, Smokey Joe.

We were bad this weekend, we tore apart the trash and raided the bathroom pantry, so we didn't get any treats 'cept Q-Tips! And we had to help ourselves to those!
