Back on board!!

Well its been really busy in our house for the last few weeks, not even had time for blogging but we are back now...

Hattie is doing ok she is not so grumpy with Dexter she seem's to be warming to him.  Dexter is doing ok too he is a real pain but what do you expect from a 10 month old Basset Hound!!! we had... some pretty lights in our back garden and Dexter is eating them, one every couple of day's he brought one into the living room the other day, The Mark 'owner' said it looked like the olympic flame comming in through the back door as it was still turned on.  Dexter has to go into the vet's next week as he has extra yes I said EXTRA teeth......... he bites everything and anyone but only in play, he is a real pain as he has chewed all the toys so we only have one ball left and he's not allowed to have that.  He destroyed a Kong, a black one for power chewers, it lasted about an hour, you only have to look at him and his teeth are out and normally in my neck.  I've been spending a bit of time in the garden on the sunny patio, its nice to have my bed outside but only during the day when its been warm.  Hattie likes it out there to, Dexter is a bit of a daddies boy so he tends to stay inside. it gives me and Hattie a bit of a break from Dexter.  The Lesley 'owner' has started to call Dexter 'sexy dexy' its so sad she think Dex likes it, Hattie and me just try to look like we are not with her. We are getting a new house soon, one without any stairs, and its in the country with a big garden and an open fire, that's an accident waiting to happen as you all know from prev blogs the 'owners' are not that bright.........matches, paper, wood and Lesley, not a good combo..  Hattie has fallen off the diet wagon she is getting a bit round again, she's going back on the diet next week, as we have the Basset Waddle on Sunday and she needs extra cal's for that.  I'm really looking forward to the waddle it gets about 35 Basset Hounds some rescue and some not and we all go for a long walk at one of our local parks its great to catch up with everyone.
