I was born in a puppy mill and never got out of a cage for almost the first year of my life. Then one day there was a puppy mill bust and I got sent to rescue. A nice lady from Shih Tzu and Furbaby Rescue fostered me until they found my forever family (Mom and the cats).
I used to be scared of almost everything, but thanks to my foster mom and my family, I'm a pretty confident dog. I have lots of heighborhood dog friends both big and little that I have play dates and go to the park with. I have lots of human friends too. Mom even takes me to her martial arts school when she teaches. I guess things have turned out pretty well.
So, before you buy a pet from a pet store or breeder, please, please,... look into adopting an adult dog from a shelter or rescue first. We may not have papers, or be tiny puppies, but we will give back your kindness many times over in love and devotion.

Hi Duke. Great blue and red stripped shirt - I have one just like it. Quincy has the same shirt in yellow and green. Maybe one day Mom will take a photo of us in these shirts and post it. Since she shows us in wedding clothes, the least she could do is show that we have "normal" clothes (if there is any such thing as normal clothes for dogs). Fortunately, most of the time we are au' naturale.

Hi Duke and mom,
We were taking a walk through all our pals and thought we would stop by your yard and say hello. I think Muffin would love to play with you. It is pretty warm out today and mom is pulling on the leash to go so we better go. You have a great day with your forever home and so happy you are there. Our BayLee is 9 and we got her from Animal friends and she is really happy now. Well here we go for our walk. Have a great day!!
