I love car rides! Mom has a Honda Civic and I can fit! But i want to be in the middle of mom and dad. They call me the co captain. Whatever that means. The both have to wear a towel on thier shoulders, I drool too much. We get a lot of looks! But I love the attention!

Hi Holly - so sorry to hear you got car sick.  I ride in the car all the time and love to look out the window.  When I ride in the car with both mommy and daddy, my mommy holds me on her lap or up to look out the window.  I think that helps me not to be sick, you know bouncing around.  I think if you move a lot, it'll make u car sick.  When I ride alone with my daddy, he tells me to lie still on the next seat and since I'm a good boy, I do as he says... Sorry you got sick little Hannah!  I hope you get over your car sickness, because believe ME, riding in the car is the best thing ever!  Mom and Dad even let me ride along when they're just running errands because I get so excited.  For Christmas they're going to buy me doggles!  That's so I don't get stuff in my eyes when I hang my head out the window.  Anyhow, I don't want you to get sick, so I had my Mom look it up on the internet, and she found lots of good advice!  She thinks a lot of times dogs might not get carsick, but maybe it's just stressful to ride in the car.  Maybe since you had to ride in the car when you got bit by the big dog and you were hurt and unhappy then, maybe you still think the car is a bad thing!  She found some good ideas to help you get over that.  She said to tell you to go to Google and just type in "dog carsick" and you can find lots of help, like making sure you aren't really full when you go for a ride, and making sure you're happy with your surroundings in the car.  I hope you outgrow it, because there's no feeling in the world like driving down the highway with your jowels flapping and your ears flopping and the wind in your fur!
