Ah, how to begin about the Jet-man. I guess there are so many ways to begin but the more original is at the time i got him. Jet was born on a ranch in San Ramon, where his parents, Bruno the father and Juliet the mother, where working dogs. Jet was born to have a job, and from day one of our partnership he's had one. Since i had him at 7 weeks jet's either been training or competeing in International Flyball Racing: a team race pitting 4 dog teams against each other, competing in times as low as 15.3 seconds for the team( that can be as low as 3.7 seconds per dog!). He lives for the competition, and stares down the opposing dog as he races against it. He earned his Flyball Master title ( 5, 000 points), in NAFA,  and Top Flight Executive-3 (8,000) in UFLI. HIs fastest time to date over the 105 ft course, over the jumps and on the box, is 4.12 seconds.

But enough about that. Jet has other strange hobbies to preocupy his time when he's not racing. He loves to dive head first underwater to fish out rocks bigger than his head, much to the nervousness of his mom. He loves to play chuck-it/tug-it, (a game where i use the chuck-it to throw a tennis ball and then he races back with it to play tug), and destroy squeaker tennis balls in minutes. He also enjoys staring and stalking the laser pointer until he can pounce on it. He will stare obsessivly at the ground if he thinks you have it. We also enjoys barking at other cars while we are driving, except that he spins around everywhere and its a bit annoying.

Jet loves his adopted big sister, Riley. Although he'd never let her near his toy or his bone, she's the only one who is there to put up with him the whole day while mom's at work.

Givin Jet's performance dog status, we do alot of conditioning. We bike at a steady trot for an hour, then do some off leash sprinting at full speed. Then, we go on a 3 hour enduance hike. Unfortunatly for Jet's paws, he can't seem to keep them safe. He rips his paw pads to shreds every time we hike, so Mom has to wrap them with sports tape and vetwrap everytime we go.

Jet also, for whatever reason, can't stand Dobermans and Rotweilers. I love them, dont get me wrong, but he can't stand them being near him. There are several that we know personally from Flyball clubs, and he can't help but bark and growl and challenge them. Everyone thinks its because of the way they carry themselves so proudly. He's a jerk, i know.

BUt Jetty loves every person he's ever met. Dogs, he only pays attention to if he's racing them, then its like they dont exist. He loves all people...my worst fear is that he will go off with some stranger one day!
