Hi, My name is Maggie and I'm a Dockdog competitor. I love the water and I love to jump! My Mom & Dad bring me to competitons and I've won lots of ribbons and medals. I'm very loveable and have one sister and one brother.

I am extremely spoiled!, but I love it. I stay in the house, but love it outside. I sleep in the bed by my Mom's feet, but I have to have a kiss everynight before I lay down.

Wow.  Dockdiving sounds like lots of fun.  My 2 sisters are labs and they love the water.  I prefer to be as far away from the water as I can possibly be.  I'm glad your my new dog pal and we'll talk to you soon.

Wow  ~ Maggie! We are impressed with your dock diving. We have watched it on Animal Planet. Lacey likes to dive onto Jack when we go to the lake at the park. It's "payback" for all the bajillion things he does to torture her.  And, your sister is part aussie? Cool! She MUST be pretty & smart <vbg> The AusSiebelts

Hi Maggie,

Thanks for the information about dock diving. Maybe Mom will check around and see if there are any competitions in Florida. I (Quincy) am a natural jumper too. My favorite jump is onto the kitchen counter. I don't take a running start; I just stand and jump on a bar stool (at least 3 times my height) and from there onto the counter to check for any food. Mom and Dad usually remember not to leave the counter without moving their plates, but sometimes the phone rings or something and they forget. I always get in trouble but it is worth it. How else would I have the opportunity to try tuna fish salad, pickles, or other people food. They are very good parents but extremely stingy about sharing their food with Zack and me. Wish you lived closer, we could go jumping together. Zack says to tell you hello.

Hi Zack and Quincy,

I have jujmped 2 jumps over 20'. I jumped 20'2 and 20'4 last year in Louisiana. I'm pretty consistant in the high 19 feet range. Dock jumping is so much fun!! I love it. My Mom & Dad bought me to breed, but I never ran across the yard, I'd leap like an antelope, then I'd jump over the fence and could stand still on the ground and jump into the above ground pool, so they went on-line and searched Big Air dogs and found a club in the Dallas area. They had a Fun Jump, so we went and I was a natural, if I do say so myself. I won 3rd place that day. We found out from them about Dockdogs.com and started going to competitons from there. You would be able to jump. Any breed or size dog can jump. They even have a lap dog competition. We've even seen a poodle jump in Fort Worth! Actually 10'  to 12' is a good jump and there are different divisions for the dogs, depending on length. The dock is 40' and you can use any amount of that dock to run and jump in the pool. Most of the jumps on Dockdogs this year have been up North and I live in Texas, so we haven't been able to go to many. Hopefully next year.

How far can you jump Maggie? We have never seen a dock diving competition but our mom has watched a video of one. How did you get started doing this? Mom says that Quincy should compete - lol he would be the only yorkie there! But he dives into our pool - takes about a five foot running start and launches himself. Dad says he is airborne between 10 and 12 feet (not up to dock diving standards, of course, but hey, who knows what he could do if he had a long ramp to dive from). Anyway, please send us a bark.
