camping for the first time
well i am happy to report the boys had a great time. of course it felt odd without brock there, but i know he was hanging out with us. when we got buddy, he would run away all the time if we didnt close our gate. he was never trained properly and getting him at 3 years old we had some hard habits to break. well 3 years later and he still has the urge, but i have to give him credit. we had him off lease at our camp site and when we went to the water to swim and he came back everytime we called him! i am so proud of him! they had a blast! there was so much for them to smell and get into and so many people to see!!! i guess i need to relax a little a know my dogs will come to me when i call them even if there are many distractions. dexter no problem but with buddy i am always nervous and he did great!!!!!
Blog Barks
We are so glad, sorry for the late bark. My two other dogs were trained on leash to follow all the possible trails we had here in NJ. In fact, Tango knew them backwards. I use to pitch the tent on the deck so that they'd get use to being in the tent. They loved to hike. But now, the woods are full of ticks and deer ticks. We just take the girls to the beach for long walks. ^..^
