Peyton is a purebred apricot miniature poodle.  He came into our lives by accident.  My husband is quite allergic to dogs - we never thought we would own one.  One day we wandered into a pet shop.  (This was before we learned how important it is to rescue dogs and not promote puppy mills.)  There was a fuzzy pair of eyes looking up at us and our hearts melted.  My husband played with him and then we left.  Out in the parking lot, my husband proclaimed he had no allergic reaction.  We went back to the store and took home our little fuzz ball. 

Peyton is a hefty 10 pounds and full of energy.  He is very social and loves to meet people. 

Peyton lives with his brother, Eli, a bichon-poodle rescue. 

Eli came into our lives because we needed someone for Peyton to play with.  We scoped out petfinder.com and met him through a wonderful rescue group called Canine Pet Rescue.  He came with some issues - Eli didn't like most people.  We don't know his history, except he was is poor shape when he was surrendered in Chicago's anti-cruelity rescue.  We have completed obedience training and worked with socializing Eli in the last year.  He has grown so much!  His tail now wags and he smiles when he is happy - this is new.  He has learned to play with his brother and our kids.  He is very loyal and full of kisses.

Eli is a bichon poodle mix, weighing a whopping 20 lbs. 
He lives with his brother, Peyton, a miniature poodle.
