DOG ATTACK

Ginger had awful day yesterday 1st attacked 2nd got a bath 3rd at the vet office =poor traumatized doggy

we are dog sitting an English bull massive big 100 some pound drool face beast of a dog...Tim's sister's (Terra) dog
1st night went decent under watchful eye howver 2nd night was very nerve wracking ordeal.
it seem right from the start Maggie (big thing) and Ginger didn't care for each other
To make long story short last night Maggie attacked Ginger without warning with the entente to kill her
Maggie earlier both days tried attacking two our cats: Missy & Danny
Missy was scared to death and wouldn't come out from behind the washer while Danny was so traumatized he wouldn't leave my bedroom and pee & @#$% in my bedroom...out of fear to leave it for litterbox
We ended up at vet office for emergency care for Ginger she having problem stop bleeding from her neck & ear
Maggie had Ginger by her throat shaking & banging her head against the grandfather clock
I was afraid she had a fractured skull by the way the blood was flowing from inside her ear...her other ear bleeding from what looks like cut on flap
Ginger also bit into her tongue twice bleeding all over the place screaming...Ginger had pee & @#$% on the floor during attack
I yelled for Tim stop Maggie before she killed Ginger
I had my hand on Ginger as I screamed for Tim
Maggie wasn't letting go of Ginger but Maggie stop swinging Ginger around however Maggie dropped Ginger for Tim
I hurried up checking ginger over but i couldnt tell where she was bleeding from and the smell was gross too. I hurried up tried giving her bath to clean her off i couldnt tell if  how deep the wounds were around her neck.
Anyway after vet I had Ginger in bed with me all night & most of morning keeping watchful eye on her which was also Vet suggestion as well keep her near me.
Honey seems confused or nervous...wanting comfort too once got back from Vet office
Honey is leery of Maggie and avoids being near her since Maggie got here
Honey is more submissive dog where as Ginger tries to be dominant dispite her small size
I don't know if attack was over trying to be pack leader or once of those weird full moon happenings things or food aggression
U C Maggie had taken "the girls" raw hide away from them and Ginger had been following Maggie incase she drop the raw hide
@#$% there was no rough play no growling  no barking just following around each other ...I didn't foresee this happening It happen so fast
 I feel so bad
I figure Maggie & the girls just needed more time together they (dogs) only been together for total 20 minutes before it happen in the living room with both of us (Tim & I) in same room... blink of eye  Ginger in Maggie's big mouth
Weird
I am not real fan of big dogs and this experience hasn't made it any easier I've had my own experiences with big dog attacks...this make 4 for me
Maggie is people friendly she has never even harmed small children and Terra has plenty of them @ her house but apparently she not big fan of small animals....We got Maggie here until around 1st of July Terra & family out of state on vacation.
I TOLD Tim to get her out of here NOW after the attack ended
I honestly don't care where he puts her but she NOT coming inside again
I don't really understand why this happened other I made bad judgement allowing her inside with out other pets
so for rest of Maggie stay outside during daytime  or  in garage @ night
Tim told me earlier Maggie knows she done something wrong..by her whole demeanor is sulky, no wagging tag and her head is down cast
This made me feel little sad maybe Maggie not entirely aware of her action...just instinct because in the wild  the pack leader would be killed off or leave the pack when a NEW pack leader took control of the group

Talk about stressful night.

sorta good news/bad news

Hey Everyone...Whoofs too.

Well i know some of what going on with my colon but rest going to be monthly checks (keeping tabs on my health problems). I have procotitis which same thing i had before upper part of rectum removed in early last summer apparently it has set up housekeeping AGAIN in the lower part of rectum...evenually it will need to be removed maybe as early has later this year but hoping for surgical break for 2009...but never know if bleeding & swelling gets worse its hard to say for sure. So as tell it everyone around me Yes I will need another surgery but NOT today....that was good part.Embarassed

However with my digestion a mess my disbetes has gotten worse putting me on several types of insulin...in nut shell they dont think my body is absorbing the medications either at all or not enough of them...due to all my colon & digestive problems i currently have (most of my labs are a mess steadly getting worse over these past 3y of illness). So, I am going to be sent to endocreatologist in early June (soonest get into appointmen near downtown INDY...a good hour & 1/2 drive pending traffic & weather). I;ve been to specialst of this kind before but that was back around 1999 so this different set reason than last time...this is bad part.Frown

as a whole who knows how this gonna unravel  thanks everyone for asking & giving me good luck wishes

~colon problems~

Hey critter friends,

well it's not been a year since my last colon/abdominal surgeries and i;ve been dealing with rectal pressure and left side pain since I was released back in Aug. I wasnt sure if surgical pain "or something else" developing inside my colon. I hadn't reported it all this time to my doctor partly fear of something bad=more surgeries and unsure if it just surgical healing pain or growing adhesision=internal scar tissue and I just dont wanta go into office complaining over nothing wasting time & money.

Well its "something else" the colon pressure has stop urine flow, cause awful spasm, and now bleeding out.Frown

Anyway, I having ultrasound next week, blood work=labs and dr appt set up for tomorrow.

So if i don't get back soon at least u'all have prewarning what is happening in our part of the world.

We're Back ONLINE!

glitter-graphics.com

Hey there everyone, o'man has it been awhile almost feel like i gotta sugar-buzz so freankin happy 2 b back ONLINE. Hubby said these past few weeks it was like i was going through withdrawls simular to his stop drinking caffine cold turkey.LOL

Well Belated Merry Christmas & Happy New Year my ONLINE FRIENDS...MEOWS too.

I need to go around reading blogs to catch up on everyone and for those that sent me kitty treats & holidays e-cards Thank You VERY MUCH. Laughing I will try hard to work up kitty Kash Points to return gifts.

Well the same week the main pc crashed 1 of 2 cars needed repaired so also been without means to get around. The following week My Notebook took at dump...apparently the motherboard & something else failed  but it had recall on it just taken what feels like forever to get it back my electronic baby.Wink Last week I had liver biopsy done & as i came out into recovery the school called saying my son broke his collarbone while playing football during PE class and wearing no protective gear either...i guess the boys forgot it was touch football NOT tackle.Surprised According to Orthopedic Doctor his collar bone will never look like other shoulder again but it is pretty forgiving location for a break and should heal up within next 11 weeks. Hubby still unemployed with no bites insite & I'm  getting worried about his unemployment ending soon. So there is what happening around here.

on the mend & healing fine but slowly

Hi there

Well mommy had surgery back on May29th they took out her lower (sigmoid) colon & rectum. It has been long summer healing...she was able to start walking right away but took some time to go on short block bike rides around town. Then while that was going on with mommy; daddy lost his job & benifits do to store closing/folding up in the area. And more recently everyone been sick from cold to having bronchitis...except us canines.
