Living in Austin, I was very fortunate to be able to attend the Memorial Service today for Laura.  It was very moving and I was very proud that I could be there for a "friend" who I had never met.  I felt so deeply saddened and wanted to do what ever I could to show some support to Carla and her husband and family.  When the service was over and I introduced myself to her, in the middle of all the sadness and tears, a smile came to her face when she heard I was a friend from MDS. Carla is so pleased by what all of the pals of ZQ have done for her!   My daughter drove me since I am not familiar with South Austin and we are both so glad that we were able to be a part of something so special.  This was a special time for us all.

Ditto that! I've thought a hundred times of putting up a very similar blog. I am amazed at this group of people... I was going to title my blog "dogs bring out the best in people." Ain't that the truth. I'm proud to be part of MDS.

I couldn't have said it any better.  I am amazed how people have raised up in support of Carla.  It has renewed my faith in humanity.  Beautiful post as usual.
