My Blog
Thank you to the MDS Family
Just a little note to express my amazement at how this community has come together to show love and support for one of our most popular members and my very good friend during what has to be the darkest of hours for her.
My faith in people has definitely gone up a notch.
Isn't it a beautiful thing that people can put aside their differences to help another feel loved when it is needed the most?
Thank you one and all for being there for Carla and her family
DAYCARE FUN!
Hey pals! Check out the new videos mom put on my page this morning! She took them yesterday while she was working.
I love going to daycare. I'm so tired at the end of the day.
Hope you enjoy them!

Dear God: A letter from our dogs
A friend just emailed this to me and I just loved it so much I had to share with everyone here.
Dear God: Is it on purpose our names are the same, only
>reversed?
>
Dear God: Why do humans smell the flowers, but seldom, if
>ever, smell one another?
>
Dear God: When we get to heaven, can we sit on your couch? Or
>is it still the same old story?
>
Dear God: Why are there cars named after the jaguar, the
>cougar, the mustang, the colt, the stingray, and the rabbit, but not ONE named for a Dog? How often do you see a cougar riding around? We do love a nice ride! Would it be so hard to rename the 'Chrysler Eagle' the 'Chrysler
Beagle'?
>
Dear God: If a Dog barks his head off in the forest and no human hears him, is he still a bad Dog?
>
Dear God: We Dogs can understand human verbal instructions,
hand signals, whistles, horns, clickers, beepers, scent ID's, electromagnetic energy fields, and Frisbee flight paths. What do humans understand?
>
Dear God: More meatballs, less spaghetti, please.
>
Dear God: Are there mailmen in Heaven? If there are, will I have to apologize?
>
Dear God: Let me give you a list of just some of the things I must remember to be a good Dog.
>
1. I will not eat the cats' food before they eat it or after they throw it up.
>
2. I will not roll on dead seagulls, fish, crabs, etc., just
because I like the way they smell.
>
3. The Litter Box is not a cookie jar.
>
4. The sofa is not a 'face towel'.
>
5. The garbage collector is not stealing our stuff.
>
6. I will not play tug-of-war with Dad's underwear when he's on the toilet.
>
7. Sticking my nose into someone's crotch is an unacceptable way of saying 'hello'.
>
8. I don't need to suddenly stand straight up when I'm under the coffee table .
>
9. I must shake the rainwater out of my fur before entering
the house - not after.
>
10. I will not come in from outside and immediately drag my butt.
>
11. I will not sit in the middle of the living room and lick
my crotch.
>
12. The cat is not a 'squeaky toy' so when I play with him and
he makes that noise, it's usually not a good thing.
>
>P.S. Dear God: When I get to Heaven may I have my testicles
back?

unawakened"

NEED HELP IN PORTER INDIANA TONIGHT!
***UPDATE*** A KIND PERSON TOOK THIS PUP IN SOMETIME THIS MORNING. SHE IS SAFE!
i'VE ALREADY POSTED THIS ON THE FORUMS. HOPEFULLY SOMEONE CAN HELP THIS LITTLE PUP!
My husband is a long distance truck driver and just pulled into a TA truck stop on Rt. 94. There is a terrier mix puppy that was abandoned at the truck stop for the last two days. He called me from his cell phone and told me to get onto MDS and see if there is any one in the area who’d be willing to help this dog out. The people who work there have been calling animal control for 2 days and still no response.
If there isn’t anyone then he is going to bring her home here (Massachusetts) so that we can try to find her a home even tho my landlord will probably have heart failure LOL. My daughter just got a new house and is moving in Sept. 1st and would love this little dog (it looks just like the dog she had as a child) but can’t take her until then so I’ll take her to the vets, etc…...but he still has a week of traveling and jobs to deliver before he is even here.
If you are in that area and if you think you can help this little girl who my husband says is a sweetheart and just sent me her picture, then email me and I will send you his cell number. He is there for the night only.
R.I.P. Dr. Randy Pausch
Dr. Randy Pausch succombed to incurable pancratic cancer at his home this past Friday, July 25, 2008.
His "Last Lecture" was inspirational and he has certainly left a beautiful legacy not only for his children, for whom the lecture was truly for, but for anyone who watched/listened.
R.I.P. Sir and thank you for sharing your views, observations of life and your words of wisdom with the world.
