I dove in the pool & everyone freaked!
My dad and my human sister, Jade were in the pool. They said they were just playing around, but my dad was throwing my sister and she was screaming. I thought she was in trouble so I got really agitated. I ran around the pool a couple of times but I couldn't see anything so I jumped up the ladder onto the deck. I barked a lot but they just ignored me (except for a couple of "shut-up Belle"s) so I dove in to save her. I went under and my dad pulled me out and set me back on the deck. Gee I didn't even get a chance to swim around! They kept saying something about my nails and the pool liner. Well everyone was laughing at me so I ran. I was dripping wet and it reminded me of the groomer so I rolled around in the grass hoping to dry off and erase the horrible groomer image from my mind. All in all it wasn't a great experience. I heard my mom saying she wished she had a camera and something about me not smelling good. Okay, like I want a picture to remember everyone laughing at me and calling me "stinky."

Awwww....poor Belle. Yeah, the 'wet dog' smell isn't the greatest thing in the world. You were very brave to jump in the pool! Now you know that all the screaming is just your family 'goofing around'.

PS. They should try to think of a phrase that they never use any other time to let you know things are OK and you don't need to worry. They wouldn't want you to stop worrying or not protect Jade when things really aren't OK. Unless you hear your special phrase, you'd stay on the job.
