Happy New Year!!
Things have gotten quite chaotic so we've not been barking as often. Momma finally went back to work after her surgery so it took a little while to get back into the swing of things. All of Mozli's puppies found good homes and are doing great. Mozli had her surgery and is doing fantastic; she's thrilled to death that she won't be having any more puppies. Whiski has a girlfriend at the moment so he may be a father in a few weeks. Momma and our human siblings went out of town for a few days around Thanksgiving so we couldn't wait for them to get back. Our human brother had his 14th birthday. We all got some nice treats in our Christmas stockings. We tried to wait up to see the new year start, but we got tired and just couldn't make it. Hopefully, I haven't missed anything. Will bark more later!!
Latest News
We haven't been on much because momma had to have surgery and wasn't feeling up to chatting for a bit. She's doing much better now and we're so glad because we missed her. We're all doing great. Mozli and Harli's puppies are on their way to finding new homes. One lil girl has already left and a lil boy will be leaving next weekend. They're kinda cute when they're babies, but we'll be glad to have momma all to ourselves again! Hope everyone's having a Happy Howloween!! Wags and woofs to all!
Another arrival!
Apparently, Mozli wasn't finished last night. She had 2 more babies for a total of 13! She was exhausted. One little boy didn't make it and she had another little girl so that gives her 8 boys and 3 girls to take care of. As of this morning, all are doing great!
The New Arrival
After 18 hours of labor and a trip to the vet, Mozli had 11 beautiful puppies. Unfortunately, one female was stillborn. The good news is that Mozli and her 8 sons and 2 daughters are doing great! It was a very long night and day for all of us but everything turned out fabulous. Harli's the proud daddy and has shouted to the world that he's so happy that his family is doing so well. This will be Mozli's last litter of puppies as she's going to retire. Will post pictures after the little ones open their eyes.
Mozli's fat & sassy
Well, it looks like Mozli and Harli are going to be parents again. This will be their 4th litter and Mozli's last. She doesn't like being pregnant and she has huge litters. Between 11-13 puppies. She will be officially retired after this group finds new owners. The puppies are due around 9/4. Will keep everyone posted on her progress!
Jack and Buddy leave
Well, I finally found Jack & Buddy a good home. They left us on Monday to go to their new home. I'm sure they'll be super happy and I just hope they never forget us or the love we gave them while they were here. Six of my nine dogs had their annual vet visit a couple of weeks ago. Everyone is doing great! Harli, Dazi, and Choppyr all had birthdays since I wrote last. Cake was enjoyed by all the birthday hounds and the other dogs enjoyed cupcakes. Check out the new pics that I posted! Hope all is well with everyone!
Dazi's scare!
Things have been so crazy with the two new boys getting settled so it's been a little while since I've been able to chat. Yesterday we had a horrible scare with Dazi. She woke her dad up (he's home for a visit) by sitting on his head and panting really loudly. Totally not like her. She started foaming at the mouth and shaking all over and we couldn't get her to stop. We rushed her to an emergency vet (our regular one was on vacation) and it turns out that she had eaten a mouse that had been poisoned. She was going into shock and her pupils were unresponsive! We were freaking out. Dr. gave her 2 shots and some charcoal to absorb the poison. We got extra meds to take home with us. Dazi was walking like she was drunk and couldn't stay awake. It took a couple more hours for her shakes to stop. After sleeping most of the day, she acted a little better last night. This morning, she had an appetite and was getting back to herself. She still has a little sluggishness but the vet said that she'd come out of that in a day or so. We caught her in enough time to get her treated. Mouse/rat poison can be FATAL to dogs, so I just wanna remind everyone, that the things we don't think twice about, can really be harmful to our furry family members! Dazi's going to be okay but it was a rough day for us parents!
In the doghouse!
It's been a crazy few days around here. I bought back the last 2 pups I sold in November. Their new momma's grandson developed horrible allergies and she couldn't keep them. To keep them from going to the pound, I bought them back. They are 10 mths old and tri-colored and since they are brothers they HAVE to stay together. I own their parents. They're both AKC registered, neutered, and housebroken. Sweet boys but I already have 9 dogs so I can't keep them. I need to get them sold and placed in a new home soon so they don't have any more changes in their young lives. If you know of anyone that may be interested, please have them get in touch with me. Thanks for listening!!
Harli gets groomed
My momma thought my toenails were getting a little long so I got to go in tonight.
I sat on my human brother's (Sceth) lap eating treats while momma cut my toenails. I don't really mind but sometimes it tickles! After momma got done, she brushed me and gots lot of hair off me. It's so much nicer since it's so hot outside. Then I got a can of food! It was my favorite, with chunks of beef and lots of gravy! Mmmmm. Momma played with me a little bit and now I'm ready for a nap so I jumped up on the love seat beside her and am going to take a snooze! Will wuff at you later!
Dazi's dad is home!
Dazi's dad came home this morning for the weekend. She ran through the yard and through the house like a demon possessed because she was so excited to see him. Dad gave her lots of belly scratchin's and her favorite can of Pedigree. After Dazi got her belly full and took a potty break, she got up on the couch and laid down for a nap with her dad. When dad's home, Dazi is pretty much in the house all the time or with her dad wherever he goes. When he leaves, she gets sad and spends her first night barking all night. It's nice to see her so energetic!
