uh oh

We had a terrible accident Saturday June 28th piper and maddie were playing like normal but on this particular day they were playing unusually ruff and pipers brand new collar got stuck in Maddie's mouth and was choking her and i was the only one out there and  piper has a large tongue  so large in fact  that it flops over her teeth and out her mouth and while she was choking she was biting her tongue on reflex and was making blood run everywhere and Maddie was panicking and jerking away and her collar was getting tighter and tighter and i wasn't strong enough to stop her and pipers eyes rolled back in her head and she grew limp and for a second or two i thought she was dead the most horrible experience in my life might i add i was screaming in then out of no where i just pulled the collar right out of maddies mouth (it was stuck behind her K nines) and i was all bloody and piper eyes were swoalin and bloodshot and i ran up to the house and layed her on the counter and she seemed a little tired but other than that she was fine and for the rest of that day and the next day i was haunted by her screams and the images kept flashing in my mind!!! NO ONE WHERES COLLARS ANYMORE!!!!!

Oh, how utterly scary...wow! Good thinking on your part...or she would have died. She owes her life to you.

I don't wear my collar when I am at home, only when we go out. Our friends Tuckersmom told us about that...nope, no collars unless we are out and about with mama.

I was 'chipped' by my breeder so if I get lost they can bring me home. We found a stray pup in our yard last week, and he had a 'Home Again' tag on him, so we called the toll free number, read off his ID number, and guess what? They put us in touch with the owners, we didn't have to dial their number or anything, they did it all for us. So we got that pup home safe and sound. Mama is sure glad we have "Home Again".

We are glad everyone is fine now. And you are one brave person, Congratulations on saving her life!!!!! Great Job!!!!

OMG how scary!!! Hope everyone is o.k. now.  Now that I've been on this website I've switched to a harness.  I also don't use retractable leashes.  If you become pals with Carla Genender or Tina Valant they'll tell you the same thing.  Hope everyone is back to normal.
