I wouldn't feel guilty at all for eating the salmon. After all, your mom and dad want you to be happy. Salmon makes you happy. Therefore, mom and dad wanted you to have the salmon.

Hmmm. We had to think about this for a moment. Normally we would support your position, because when good smelling food is within reach it's fair game. I (Quincy) even get up on our kitchen counter and eat whatever they are foolish enough to leave there - which lately hasn't been anything since they caught on to my agility.

However, being that it was Mther's Day we think you should have restrained yourself, and that you owe your mom an apology. Perhaps you could go hunting and bring her something as a substitute?

Dey sey dat fish is gud brain food and has alla vyteemins and stuff a dog needs...heck, der ain't nuthin new 'bout dat.  But what does ower humins feeds us?  Brown Rocks! Dats rite, brown rocks...and sumtimes dey taste fishy but yew nose der ain't as much fish in dem as whut was on dat pawlate yew surfed!   Now, yew shud feel jes' a bit gill-tee becuz yew snarfed yer huMoms Mudders' Day vittles, but don't feel tew bad becuz if dey reely didn't wantcha eatin' dem, den dey wud has put dem up higher...like mebbe in da oven even!
