Hello my name is Ace Draven Long of Darcantra...but you can just call me Ace for short.  I am AKC registered.  My mommy and daddy love me very much and do all they can to keep me feeling well, as I have been diagnosed with congestive heart failure.  I was just 11 months old when we found out.  They take care of me every day to make sure I continue to feel well.  My favorite things to do is to sleep (mostly in bed with mom or dad) and to play with my newly adopted sister, Brittany.  I love her!  I also like taking walks around town with my family.  It's nice to get out of the house somtimes.  I have lots of doggy friends, including my cousin Stinkie, my neighbors Cassie, Allie, and Dally.  My favorite food is spaghetti, which is a good thing because my wonderful vet put me on a strict diet that includes spaghetti.  I also love getting bites of ham when it's time to take my pills.  I'm also very spoiled, not only by my mom and dad, but by my nana.  She comes to see me all the time, and every time she comes, I get a new toy or ice cream!  She's my favorite nana!!  I've also recently discovered babies.  I have two new (human) cousins that come to visit every so often, and I am completely fascinated with them.  I love the way they smell and I love to give them kisses!  If you want to learn more about my loveable self, make me a friend!!  I love new friends!

Update:

December 25, 2008, at 7:30 in the morning, Ace passed away.  His little heart just couldn't take anymore.  His daddy was with him when he passed, and he went quick so he did not suffer.  He is now in Rainbow Bridge with his uncle Tyson and is being well taken care of by his mommy's grandpa Earl.  We're sad that he is no longer with us, but relieved that he's not suffering anymore.

Hi!  Hi hi hi!!!!  My name is Brittany Maeve Long...but you can call me Brittany...or Brit for short.  Mom and Dad call me Squirtle...but I haven't quite figured out why.  I was lovingly adopted by my mom and dad.  They met me through a friend of my mom's and we were all instantly in love.  Mom had been looking for a companion for my new brother Ace.  Usually I don't get along very well with other dogs upon our first meeting, but me and Ace hit it off immediately.  It's like it was meant to be!  He loves me and I love him!  We're like brother and sister, and like boyfriend and girlfriend all at the same time.  He loves to groom me by licking my ears and cleaning my head.  I don't mind though cuz it feels good.  Hehehe.    I'm quite an exciteable girl.  I love getting attention from my mom and dad and their friends.  I live for the constant love and affection I get from my new family.  I didn't live the best of lives before I met my foster mommy Bethann.  I was bounced around from home to home until Bethann took me in and took very good care of me until my mom and dad came and adopted me.  If I could speak human English, I'm sure I could tell mom and dad all about my life before they met me, but since I can't, they have to guess.  From what they're guessing, I was either abused or neglected.  Thankfully I got myself out of that and was rescued by the wonderful people at Adopt a Boxer Rescue.  That's where mom and dad found me and adopted me!  I love my new home now and I've made myself right at home here!  I love my mommy and daddy, and my brother Ace.  I'm learning to get along with other doggies now too.  I love my cousins Stinkie and Odee, but I'm still not too thrilled about the neighbors.  Make me a friend!!!

Update:

My brother passed away on Christmas morning.  We got to open our Christmas presents the night before and play with them together.  I feel lost without him.  I just keep expecting him to come in the door at any minute.  Mommy, daddy, and I are doing our best to keep our spirits up.
