My name is Chance. I have had a rough life, and I am just now finding out what it is like to be a pet. A healthy pet at that.

I used to live on a farm. A border collies dream! But I wondered off too far and got lost. I roamed the town for a couple of months and then the cops found me and put me in the pin! I stayed in the slammer for months and no one would bust me out. It was my last day before my execution and this lady came and saved me! I loved her to death.

Little did my new mom know, I was sick. Deathly sick. Food, and water would come out of my nose, and it made me have bacterial infections. I would have nose bleeds, sneezing fits, and would even get water into my lungs when I drank! I went to the doctor many times and they could not find a reason why this was happening to me. Mom said that they think I should be put out of my misery. Thank goodness she got a second opinion! I great vet found that I had a major soft palet defect! Basically it was a big hole WAAAYYY back in my mouth, and throat. I had my surgery, and now I am in recovery. So, I guess my name fits me huh? I got a third chance.

I love to play. I will play with anything you will give me. And I am very vocal. I will talk to you all day. Any question you ask me I have an answer to. I am very true to my bred, I am extremely energetic. I have this manic energy that I cannot seem to ever get rid of. It does not matter how much agility I do, how long of a walk you take me on... I am still bouncing off the walls. Mom says that's what she loves best about me.
