Happy Anzac Day
Hey everyone
Today (april 25th) is anzac day!!
Anzac day is Australia's most important national holiday. It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War. ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. The soldiers in those forces quickly became known as ANZACs, and the pride they soon took in that name endures to this day.
Plus we get to make yummy anzac cookies and play 2 up!!

oh an if your wondering 2 up is this game your only allowed to play on anzac day, it where you get two coins and throw them in the air people bet on weather it will be 2 heads, head and tail or 2 tails. It's great fun because everyone in the town gets involved and we all sit around the coins betting, our mommies bet with lollies because it was far to crowded to go down to the pub but my mummies sister did and she won $20 :)

This is the first we have heard of this holiday. But is sounds like a great day to celebrate. We are always proud of the soldiers that protect us and keep us safe. We also like our new nicknames. Have a great day!
