My name is katie. i am a 7 year old beagle girl. i was adopted from a baltimore county shelter when i was 1 by my mommy & daddy. my mommy never had a small dog before and she wasn't sure about me until i got home and cuddled next to her every night. i am very spoiled and i love to eat. my parents have me on a diet right now because i am really overweight and i dont like it. i try to steal my sisters food when she drops kernels on the floor without mommy seeing me. i have lost, i think, 10 pounds. im proud of myself, but im starving.

My name is Kiani, (which means ancient one). I am 6 year old husky girl and i was rescued by my mommy & daddy at the Delaware Valley Siberian Husky Rescue in 2003. I am very stubborn and this drives my mommy crazy because it a husky way or no way. i guard all my bones, so my sister can't have them. if she gets near them i get very upset. i go for walks all the time with my daddy and when i get back from my walks i get a little vanilla ice cream. that is my favorite part of the walk.

I am just wondering if any of you other huskies have had the same experience that i had to just go through. my mommy noticed that my eye was drooping down so daddy took me to the vets. they thought that i did something to my eye, so my doctor gave daddy some meds. it didnt clear up so mommy & daddy took me to the doggie eye doctor. they said it should clear up in a couple of weeks, well it didnt and i had to go see a neurologist. during this past week, ive had an MRI on tuesday and i had a spinal tap on thursday. if the spinal tap comes out negative then they think i had a stroke. a stroke, can you believe it. im only 7 years old.

After several weeks of waiting for the results we found out that Kiani has what is called: Neospora Caninum a parasite that paralyzes the nervous system. The doctor says most dogs get this by their mother. We cant figure out why 6 years later this is coming out. She is now on a heavy dose of antibiotics which makes her really sick.
It has been an ongoing struggle with the vets, specialists, money, gas, time, and of course kiani's welfare. Like most pet owners kiani is our baby and we will do anything it takes to get her better. We had to take out a loan for her medical treatments be cause it became to overwhelming.

On 4/10/00 ,I lost my baby NIKKI. She was 7 years old. She was hit by a car doing what she loved to do (chasing bunnies). Life has been very difficult since her passing. This is dedicated to my baby.

Hi Pals, how’s it waggin? Today is SMILE day and we are smiling because you are our furend! And all of our furends are the bestest EVER!
Mom has taken pictures of us in our costumes and posted them in a blog on our page! That woman is out of her flea bitten mind! Let me tell you about this costume thing! First of all the thing fits ok around me (Sable) but the head part is awful. Mom had to put my ears (those long beautiful ears) through these holes...then the goofy thing still doesn't stay on. Those bendy things with the red balls are really annoying. The little red balls keep getting in front of your eyes and no matter how much you try you can't get the darned thing off! Our mom has completely lost it! Usually Chi likes to dress up but she told me that stupid witch hat was embarassing! She would shake and shake and shake trying to get it off but all that would happen was it would spin around and end up under her chin. But don't tell her I told you this...she did look really funny walking around with a witch hat under her chin! BOLBOL Mom got them at Wal-mart...They had a angel costume and I wanted that but they didn't have one to fit me. They had a devil costume too but they didn't have one to fit MOM!!! BOLBOL So if you see your mom coming with a costume! RUN ! RUN! JUST AS FAST AS YOUR LITTLE LEGS WILL CARRY YOU! RUN! Tomorrow is Taco Day and mom is gonna be really busy so she’s passin out our Tacos today. We hope everyone has a terrific weekend!
