My name is katie. i am a 7 year old beagle girl. i was adopted from a baltimore county shelter when i was 1 by my mommy & daddy. my mommy never had a small dog before and she wasn't sure about me until i got home and cuddled next to her every night. i am very spoiled and i love to eat. my parents have me on a diet right now because i am really overweight and i dont like it. i try to steal my sisters food when she drops kernels on the floor without mommy seeing me. i have lost, i think, 10 pounds. im proud of myself, but im starving.

My name is Kiani, (which means ancient one). I am 6 year old husky girl and i was rescued by my mommy & daddy at the Delaware Valley Siberian Husky Rescue in 2003. I am very stubborn and this drives my mommy crazy because it a husky way or no way. i guard all my bones, so my sister can't have them. if she gets near them i get very upset. i go for walks all the time with my daddy and when i get back from my walks i get a little vanilla ice cream. that is my favorite part of the walk.

I am just wondering if any of you other huskies have had the same experience that i had to just go through. my mommy noticed that my eye was drooping down so daddy took me to the vets. they thought that i did something to my eye, so my doctor gave daddy some meds. it didnt clear up so mommy & daddy took me to the doggie eye doctor. they said it should clear up in a couple of weeks, well it didnt and i had to go see a neurologist. during this past week, ive had an MRI on tuesday and i had a spinal tap on thursday. if the spinal tap comes out negative then they think i had a stroke. a stroke, can you believe it. im only 6 years old.

On 4/10/00 ,I lost my baby NIKKI. She was 7 years old. She was hit by a car doing what she loved to do (chasing bunnies). Life has been very difficult since her passing. This is dedicated to my baby.

Your time with us was too short, but the love you gave is never-ending. We will miss you dearly, our big girl walks, our rides, our fights over the bed and the ways you rested your head. Happy Indepawdence Day. We is sneeky on da puter cuz mommy is buzy fur a few minets. Oh no I (Sable) donut fink Iz weady fur today! Dem poppers scarez me weelly bad turribl...I donut eben likez fur to go to da out to go potty. Mommy or Daddy habs to draggded me to da out. So I fink I will jus be staying behind de couch or under de bed until all dem poppers stop. But here dem poppers jus keep a goin anna goin a week before and about a week afer. Dey last FUREVER! OOOOHHHHH MMMEEEEE what am I going to do? Mebbe I iz gonna move to where da poppers donut be allowed. Happy Furthth Ebbybody, I (Chi) donut care less bout dem ol' poppers. I bark alot ifn dey are weelly loud. But udder dan dat I will jus play wif my bo-bos and take da naps in dad's chair. Sable iz jus a big babay. Wattya doing for the 4th of July? Goin' out? Stayin' home?
For the 4th, we go over to my mommy's sister's house in Queens, NY for the traditional BBQ. Hubby Mel is an excellent griller and his selection is traditionally burgs, dogs (not canine of course) and chicken. The rest of us visitors bring the salads, macaroni, and so on. I know you are dieting Katie. As you know, good doggy behavior means no stealing of food nor pestering guests and I have been trained to be good in that way, but I have developed an appearance which gets me many treats from the guests. I think you should practice this look...
No need to steal with this kisser. Just remember Katie, a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips.
