Nina Simone was brought into the vet's office where I work when she was approximately 6 1/2 weeks old. The couple who brought her in had been at the gas station around the corner and left their windows down while they went inside. When they came out, she was just sitting in their car. They would have liked to keep her, but said that their apartment didn't allow pets, and my boyfriend and I had been looking for a puppy, so I took her on the spot, and proceeded to beg him to let us keep her. :P It was a tough sell until he actually met her, due to the fact that she's a lab/chow mix, and we'd been looking for an english mastiff, or great dane/mastiff mix. But he was putty in her paw the minute I brought her home. Who could say know to that face?? (mine, not the dog's.) :P

I am the prettiest mutt you will ever meet. I look like a petite Swissie, but I'm actually a lab/rott mix. All my sisters and brothers (w/the exception of my twin sister) look like pure bred labs. I'm am mostly labrador retriever. My mom adopted me from a friend where she was working at the time, and had actually planned to take my twin, but at the last minute something told her to pick me. It was fate. When my first mommy took me to their office to introduce me to my forever mommy, I ran straight to her and never looked back. We are the best things that have ever happened to each other. I have a thing for boxers. I also have selective hearing. I pretend to be deaf when mom calls me inside and I'm not done playing yet.

Well I hope you had a good birthday. I didnt get to go watch the fireworks either, cause my mom and dad are afraid it hurts my ears! They said I acted scared last year. And my dad had to watch more over my mom instead of having to hold on to my leash cause she fell off a horse and fractured her tailbone and bruised her kidneys. So they really couldnt take me with them anyway. But I still had a good weekend. My birthday is coming up on August 6. I will be 2 years old.
