WE DO NOT AGREE WITH CARELESS/BACKYARD BREEDING.  THAT MEANS IF YOU ARE NOT PROVING YOUR DOGS (THROUGH SHOWING OR PERFORMANCE EVENTS) THEN YOU SHOULD NOT BE BREEDING THEM.  IT ALSO MEANS IF YOU HAVE A MIXED BREED (EVEN DESIGNER BREEDS...ha ha ha) IT SHOULD BE NEUTERED AND CERTAINLY NOT BRED.

Now I have to ad what would seem to be common sense as well.  PLEASE, if your dog has a genetic condition, something hereditary, neuter it.  PLEASE don't pass on genetic defects on purpose!!!

Ripley is a harlequin great dane.  He came from a breeder in AZ that loves her dogs but shouldn't breed them.  Unfortunately LOVE IS NOT ENOUGH!!! There were 5 pups in Rip's litter and only two lived.  Those two turned out to be monsters.  Neither likes people or other animals.  Rip's temperment problems are GENETIC!  Please, leave the breeding to the experts.  The people who devote their lives to making better examples of the breed.  Just because you have a dog and it is intact DOES NOT MEAN YOU SHOULD BREED IT!!! You want to breed?  PROVE YOUR DOGS FRIST!!!

Ripley is lucky in that he ended up with a dog trainer and someone who understands him and his problems and is careful not to let him out to bite people.

Another fun fact, I was given full breeding rights to this dog.  That means I couldve bred him, sold his puppies as purebred pups "with papers" to unsuspecting people (for lots of money), and then they would have their hearts broken after nine months when the pups suddenly "turn" mean.  Please, don't breed just anything to just anything.  There is a fair amount of homework required to breed dogs correctly.  I wish Rip's "breeder" wasn't also still breeding danes.  Breeding should never be for money, only to make BETTER examples of your breed. 

ILP# Ben's exceptin to the rule

McKenze was given to us as a present- yet another bad idea!!! Don't give animals as gifts!

She was the last of her litter, lucky for us.  She is a GREAT rottweiler.  She LOVES the water and will dive under it.  She holds her breath!  She loves to play fetch and knows a lot of different commands.  McKenze recently earned her CD title from the AKC.  She also has her CGC ( canine good citizen ) certificate from the AKC, she is a great representitive of her breed.

Lilly is a merle Great Dane with cropped ears.  She and her brother Nigel were born at home.  Lilly is a real pleaser.  She stays close and tries her hardest not to get into trouble.  This past October Lilly earned her CD title from the AKC.  She finished with three first place scores.  Lilly also has her CGC ( canine good citizen ) cerificate from the AKC. We are proud of Lilly.

Eine (pronounced INA) came to us from a wonderful friend.  She also happens to show and breed some of the BEST blues and blacks in the country, maybe even the world!  Eine is a blue with croped ears.  So far she hasn't had any puppies but depending on how her show career goes, who knows?  She is beautiful inside and out, her temperment is stellar and her conformation is excellent!  Let's not forget that temperment is GENETIC!!!!!

Charlotte came to us from a hoarder in NE.  She was underweight and hadn't been spayed or any shots.  She has issues like eating carpet, eating her way out of crates, destroying things that do not belong to her.....

We love her anyway.  She is funny, and not just looking.  She is an off color, a mantle marked fawn, because her "breeder" has no respect for the breed standard. If you don't know what you are doing, leave the breeding to the experts... Charlotte is OF COURSE spayed.
