I'd like to add this on to my actual videos, but, I lack the ability to figure out much of anything on a computer and my file type is not supported on this site. Haha. Made this not long after our baby Typhoon had to be put to sleep. <3

Crazy... what... 2 months?!

Sorry we haven't been on like...at all. Haha. Mom and Dad have been getting married or something. Not for the past two months... but they've been busy catching up details and things like that. So no online time for me since momma can't watch what I'm doing. I guess she's afraid that I'll look at something I'm not supposed to. *cough*

 

But mom and dad are back from their honeymoon. The rotten humans left us at moms work for over a week! I didn't think that she was ever going to come back and get us. Mom looks darker now, though. Something about a tan? She said they took a cruise to the Bahamas. I'm glad they counted me out of that, to be honest.

Crazy Week.

Momma and I have been busting our butts this past weekend. Running around doing all kinds of things! Last weekend we went to go meet one of my new "realitives". One of Dads Uncles pet died a few months ago and momma thought it was time to find him a new one from Paws & Claws. So we went there and found a little beagle mix that fit mommas personality description PERFECT. Of course, mom couldn't wait to get Joe and took him home right away.We kept him one night and he was so good. Didn't poddy in the bathroom once. <3 - Mom tells me that Frank (the guy that took him home) said that he is a wonderful dog and everyone loves him. Little Man Joe now gets to sit in the beauty salon everyday and greet people. :) Paws and Claws has been having a Yard Sale these past couple weeks too. It's been fun finding junk there too. And we won't get into the whole park thing again. We'll just say that Mr. Max was not behaving himself this time around. >:( -Jenn & Nuke

Baby Squirrels and Cat Bites - A Human Tale.

It doens't happen often that I get bit at work (believe it or not). But when it does happen, it's nasty. I got bit by a cat yesterday while trying to comb him out. Rotten cat. I helped save that cats life and this is the thanks I get? Well, I took all the necessesary steps in preventing this bite from getting bad. Soaked it in warm water and iodine. Antibiotic cream, wrapped. I even went so far as to open it a little more with a sterile knife blade to prevent more infection. >:(

 

I woke up this morning and my finger was at least double the size that it should have been. I hate going to the doctor, but decided this was one of those cases where I had no other choice. The first thing we did was wash it. Then, without warning mind you, my finger was being squeezed and I was being held in my seat. They must have gotten a tablespoon of puss out of that infested finger. But it felt better, at least. Haha. On antibiotics and now my finger is only 1.5 the size that it should be. :) - Hopefully I won't get "Cat Bite Fever". Haha.

 

 

 

 

Someone brought in a little teenie weenie baby squirrel today to work. Said that she had found it in her trash can and that she didn't have time to take care of it.

 

I think there must be a few photos of me around town that say, in big bold letters, WILL TAKE STRAY ANIMALS with contact information. >:(

 

So now I have a little baby squirrel resting in the warmth under my shirt with a full tummy. We'll see how well he does and if he does well, I'll have to get in contact with someone about a release. Bleh. I'm so depressing.

Park Day

Another day at the park, another worn out dog. Max (one of momma's friends dog) and I had a pretty good time. Malice hates getting in the water so I found myself someone who will swim with me.

 

It was Maxs' first day out there and he did better than I thought he would. He's still a puppy so I had to teach him a lesson or two about jumping up on me. I'm not proud of myself of the end result, but you better believe he didn't do it again. Haha! Hey, I gave PLENTY of warnings.

 

I sported my new doggie backpack all day. Mom thinks it's just the coolest thing ever and I... well, I could really care less about it one way or the other. But I sure do look suave in it. ;)

 

Oh, and Saturday momma took me, Malice & her friend to PetSmart (it's like a 1.5 hour drive!). At first, she wasn't going to take me. She was going to take that little brat of a Chihuahua that bugs me all the time. But in the end, I was too much to resist. She asked Malice if she wanted to go bye-bye and I took it as if it were directed towards me and was out the door (I can open it myself. Haha.), waiting at the car. Mom couldn't say no then.

 

Everyone was pretty cool at PetSmart. We ran into a Border Collie that tried to snatch Malice's nose off and  little poodle mix that was trying her hardest to get to mine. Momma was so proud of us and how we just turned around and walked away. We do have manners, afterall.

So momma printed out a few (1/4 page) flyers that she had made about this place and posted them at work! She said she's gonna go to Columbia tomorrow and post a few at the 2 PetSmarts there so we might be able to get more members from SC for me and Malice to hang out with for reelz. There are so many other dogs out there that live close to one another that they can go hang out at planned events and we want part of the action!

 

Mom says that this place needs a sister site for humans. She said that MySpace is too... outplayed and adfurtised. She said that there are so many wonderful dogs with great personalities on this site that their human counterparts have to be some fun, right? Erm.

A/C Died!

Friday the A/C in the house went out. We were at work with momma, thank goodness. When we all got home, it must have been 100 degrees in the house or more. We rushed around making sure everyone in the house was still okay. Cats seemed to be enjoying it and the birds were still talking away without a care in the world. We kinda got it fixed, but it's still pretty warm inside (around 80). Momma has to leave work early today to get someone to come out and do a better job on it than the last people did. Bleh.

Boy it's Hot

Here in SC it's getting up to around 103 degrees - But it feels like 115! Luckily, since momma works at a Vet, we can go to work with her and stay inside the cool kennels for the day. She says that we can't stay in the house because she has too many valuables or something? But she lets us stay inside until she goes to bed at nights. It's still really hot at night so she has to make sure both our pails are filled with clean water and that our pool has been cleaned and filled again. They say that it's supposed to start cooling down this weeked. I hope it will. That way momma can take us to the lake!

Sheild Your Eyes - Feline Topic

Momma had entered a picture of my cat (Yes...MY cat) to a website for fun to see if she could win a iPod shuffle (wtf is that?) or something... instead she got a much bigger surprise! She got a letter in the mail today that said they wanted to put my cat, Pigg, 's picture in a book! AND that the photo had been automatically entered into a different contest. She said that Pigg is a semi-finalist in that contest. If he wins the contest, he might be momma's lucky $10,000 cat! You can see the picture on mommas CatSpace profile. Pigg is his name. Mom thought that it was all a bunch of horse... uh... junk... at first but she was wrong. She doesn't have to pay any money unless she wants to buy the book. All she has to do is fill out some information about herself and a short 100 word essay about her and the picture. She's so excited! Makes me excited! Maybe if Pigg wins, I'll get that delux dinosaur bone with cooked meat that I've always wanted. Wish us luck!

New Pics!

We've done a lot of fun things this past week. Last weekend we got to go to the lake. It was sweeettt. I went swimming further than I have ever been. Malice still didn't want to get in past her chest. Doidle couldn't go because she runs away from momma in new places. But we had a blast!!

 

The we got a new pool at home! - A 6ft Diameter 15inch deep pool. I like to get in and stand around on hot days. Not a whole lot to do in a pool. But Malice loves to go scuba diving! - She'll stick her whole head under the water and walk around in circles. I don't know how she does it. But she sure is scared of the toys that sink to the bottom. Haha.

 

 

Oh! I almost forgot. We have a new friend. (sorta) - Momma got a new African Grey Parrot. She already had one. Taboo didn't like us at all. Pearl is tolerable of us. Her previous owners couldn't stand her "beeping" so they had to give her up. She doens't beep a whole lot here. Momma says it's because we get her out of her kennel more often. Ah well.
