Mack "Speaks"

Last Thursday, I took Mack to the vet. He seemed to sigh two nights, when going into a laying position, or moving. I am highly sensitive to all my pets, and especially so, with Mack. We saw Dr Kristy. She said it is just arthritis and that he checks out fine, and to stop being an overprotective mother. Ok, she did not say that – but her eyes did. Got a mild ‘script (Previcox), for pain, to try for a week.

In my panic mode, I also called an animal communicator, who was highly recommended and I have heard wonderful feedback. I personally know lots of ACs. Like anything, there are degrees of professionalism and talent.

This was a phone consult, as she lives out of state.  I asked if

1) There were any health issues

2) Anything in general he wanted to tell me

3) How he feels when there are rescue dogs in transit, here

4) If he likes his “job”, as an AAT dog/if he would change anything

5) If he knows how truly blessed I feel to have him in my life

Two days later, she called, as promised. Here’s what she told me: Mack is a Buddah-like presence. He has a grounded, calming, healing energy, which he enjoys sharing. His work is very important, to him and those he serves.

His right knee, wrists and front toes are stiff. Having some stiffness in the hips and knees getting up and down, which coincides with what Dr Kristy said. He is heat sensitive, so don’t force him to walk when he doesn’t want to. I don’t. Tummy was a little bloated. Nothing to worry about.

He absolutely LOVES his AAT job, and would not change a thing. Here’s where I LOST IT: He thanks me for helping him fulfill his life’s purpose. He creates a healing energy all around.

At the Cesar Millan seminar, two years ago, same thing: Stop dredging up his past (story). He said, “He is so much more than that, now”. Hearing it (even when not present), makes him sad. To be selective when telling it, as it can help others, but please ~ only as needed.

He is fine with me helping other dogs. He loves his pack mates & they also like to help these dogs. “They set them up”.   All his pack mates have a job. But, one is a very big goofball we call Jack that and he is so much more sensitive and wise than him. He said the small one, who he likes to wrestle with, has a tickle in her chest. Chloe’s seasonal allergies had kicked up Wed morn. Also, nothing to worry about.

He feels his relationship with me has helped my photog, he thinks of himself as my assistant – and that my intentions do not need to be so complicated, all the time. Yes, he knows how much mom loves him, “because she tells me, all the time”.

I could not breathe out of my nose at this point!! Prob the best $ I’ve spent in a long time!!! Combined with my vet’s help, I now have huge peace of mind.
