We adopted Rudy shortly after putting our almost 17 yr old lab shepherd to sleep. Rudy (orig named Zeus, then Auggie)...came from the J'ville, FL area, by MDS member, Aussie6pk! Rudy was found tied to a fence at an elementary school.
A6pk said, "Ya know, these aussies are like potato chips, ya can't have just one". I thought, "Right, you crazy lady". Four more dogs, later....we often tell Rudy, if he wasn't such a great guy, no others would be here.
Rudy is a happpppppy boy, always ready to go. He and Lacey are the "sport dogs".
He hates fireworks and loud noises.

Chloe was a former backyard breeder, who was surrendered to the shelter in J'ville, FL, after all three of her pups died. Her own life hung by a thread, at a scant 23 lb. We agreed to foster her. She had never eaten from a bowl, been in a home, and was afraid of us and even her two brothers. She made it through dangerous heartworm treatment, then spay, and she was ours. The following year she was Miss Sept on the nat'l aussie recue calendar (at 47 lb). She is a living testament to the power of patience, love, good food and vet care!

Jackpot was surrendered to me on the turnpike, in between hurricanes Frances & Jean. He was "too much dog" for his third owner. Prior to that he had been raised by a lovely young girl, whose stepfather said he shed too much & took him back to the breeder (after she had him for over a year). We have been in touch! I had five prospective homes lined up for this 80lb puppy. One by one they fell thru. I thought, God means Jack to stay here. High contrast colors, with lots of silly expressions, Jack models. His first job was for the BACK of a bus, for "Real Men Neuter Their Dogs" campaign. He is in training (mostly learning to control his impulse to do what he wants, WHEN he wants)! We are planning our CGC test for the fall, so he can do AAT (animal assisted therapy) like his brother, Mack.

Hi Aussies! How are you? It's been cold and rainy here all week. I think it's because Mom and Dad put in the air conditioner. BOL! I had a great birthday. I got new toys and balls, and big treats, and we had pizza! I get the crust. Love it! Mom says all the junk on it is not good for me. It rained all day so I didn't get to go to the park. Mom promised she would take me this weekend to make up for it. YIPPEE! I can't wait! I don't like the fireworks. Looking forward to Dad being home for 4 days. Have a great 4th of July weekend! Hi friends. This is me and Daddy playing the golf game last night. I love to chase those little white balls. Daddy wanted to teach me to bring the balls back to him. But I decided that I would rather gather them all in one general area for him. Mommy encourages freethinking so she said this was fine if I wanted to play the game like that as long as I obeyed the other rules of the game. Like not eating the balls! I chew them a little, but I drop them when told to.

Hi sweet pals , yes i told you Ginger could even try to eat me , She tried to bite my tail today , oh what should we feed her to feel her tummy ?? 
She also loves to see whats in the garbage can , last night we saw her coming from kitchen with the peel of a cucumber in her mouth ! we were shocked

Hi Pals! How are you doing? I'm doing good. It's been real hot and humid here. I don't stay out real long. Mom finally turned on the a/c. Those pesky raccoons are still coming around. I keep barking at them to go away. They do, then right back again. Mom and Dad are getting real tired of me waking them up alot during the night. They have threatened to kick me out of my (and theirs) bedroom. Don't think I'll let that happen. I'll bark and bark and scratch the door down! The raccoons better get the message soon. Mom and Dad are getting real cranky 'cuz they aren't getting much sleep. Mom's been trying to wear me out before bedtime so I'll want to sleep. But I have to stay up and protect them. I also don't want Mom and Dad to be mad at me. They might not buy me lots of birthday presents. Whats a pup to do? Any suggestions? Do you know any tricks how to keep them away from my birdfeeder. I don't want to get rid of the feeder. I like watching the birds and squirrels. The squirrels are so silly. Hope you have a great weekend! Love Ya!
