Jasper was a racing greyhound.  He ran 101 races at a track in Massachusetts.  His career came to an end when he broke his leg during a race.  He spent a summer in a cast at a rescue shelter, and we brought him home in the fall.  That was two years ago.

Since then he has been spoiled!  He has a bed in just about every room of our house, complete with down comforter for the winter months.  He has baked salmon snacks.  He gets tucked in his bed at night and sometimes we read him bedtime stories, too.

Jasper is sweet, playful, and quite a velcro dog, following me into the bathroom, kitchen, upstairs, downstairs, wherever I go.  He rarely barks, just begs with those gorgeous brown eyes.
